The room is spacious and nice, but there are no electric pot cups, so it is inconvenient to use. It's bigger than you think

My once favorite hotel in HNL has found a way to block award inventory. I completely understand during busy times when rates are high but I can’t get a single night in off season because they have a new category called King Bed Deluxe. No idea of it’s a better room but they charge $15 more for it and Hyatts program is completely inflexible. So sad when management gets so greedy. I really don’t think they lose that much money on point redemption booking that they have to throw integrity out the window. Don’t give them your business if you are a Hyatt fan. Hotels like this hurt the program and you PAY for your points they aren’t really free.

Nothing exceptional about this hotel. Fairly modern and clean rooms, but similar rooms and amenities can be found at nearby hotels for better rates. Hot tub was always overflowing with people and the wade pool would have been more useful if it was an actual pool. Lobby inconveniently located on the 8th floor. Hotel itself located in the heart of the busy city and all the noise of the city can be heard from the rooms. So unfair that they offer cheaper parking to guests staying at other hotels. Parking for their own guests is $45+

This hotel is fantastic! The rooms are modern, clean and confortable. I plan to stay here again if I visit Waikiki in the future.

Maile at the front desk was so wonderful and helpful! The rooms were recently updated and clean. The location can’t be beat, close to the beach (less than 5 min walk) but away from the bustle and quiet. A wonderful stay all around!

Rooms were decorated with calm colors. The beds were very comfortable. The shower could have more pressure. We will return.

My wife and I booked this hotel LATE at night around 11: 30pm after we arrived to our reserved hotel across the street and had been bait and switched from what the rooms look like online and filthy to boot. Everyone at this hotel was nice, helpful and accommodating for us. They were so great in helping us out so late at night and outside normal check in hours.

The rooms are beautiful, it is a city hotel so yes you can hear traffic but if you’ve ever stayed in a city before this is normal. There are nice shops and a Starbucks reserve connected to the building.

The pool area is beautiful as well though it is only a shallow wade pool.

Great location. All the stores/restaurants are close by. Stunning view on higher floors. The room is very elegant. Service is really awesome. Would come back again!

Nice, but there are nicer Hyatts. The sea view in particular is a bit unsightly due to the high-rise buildings. But otherwise the location is great.

Huge room and good location. The hotel is pretty new and clean. Resort fees includes 2 water bottles with water refills near swimming pool, beach chairs, beach towels and beach umbrella rental.

When you arrive, take the elevator to floor 8 (marked L). The lobby is upstairs, not at the entrance. The lobby ladies were very welcoming. The room was clean and done every day. Convenient location in waikiki, very close to tour pick ups (ross is a pick up point one block away; aloha landing is the other pick up point two blocks away). A few cons:
- can't get hot water in the morning. I woke up at 6 (jetlag) and even after running it for 20 mins you get lukewarm at best. It worked at night.
- rooms facing the main street get loud
- no holder in the shower. You spend your time bending to pick up what you need off the floor.
- no desk in room

Globalist members should be aware of this when making reservations as the breakfast status benefit is currently suspended. I didn't know. There is also no special follow-up for no breakfast. The restaurant inside the hotel is currently closed and there are no plans to reopen. When I checked with the front desk, they said the coronavirus was the reason, but since coronavirus restrictions have already been lifted worldwide, it seems like it's just a cost-cutting measure. I would like you to consider alternative services such as providing hotel credits that can be used at affiliated restaurants and convenience stores. I was disappointed because I stayed at the Hyatt.
The location is very convenient as it is in the center of Waikiki.

We stayed for a week. It was an overall great experience.

Pros:
The staff is beyond in customer service. Every staff member we came across was genuinely inviting and kind. They were easily the best part of the stay.

Great location, there is a lot of shopping and dining in the immediate area. There's a Starbucks reserve that is accessible from the 1st floor which was very convenient.
It's also less than a 10 minute walk from the beach.

You can borrow towels, chairs etc from the concierge downstairs.

The rooms are pretty and modern, especially if you get an ocean view room. They are well cleaned, and housekeeping does amazing at keeping them refreshed.

Cons:
The bathroom design is very strange, I didn't like it. The bathroom has a slide door with no lock.
The shower has glass doors (which I like) but one of the walls of the shower is a nearly floor to ceiling window, it does have a shade but the shade is adjusted OUTSIDE the bathroom. If you're staying with friends they could open the shade at will while you're in there. Since there is glass doors in the shower you can see all the way to the toilet from the window.
For a private place, there's little privacy.

The parking isn't great. It's $42/day which is ok, pretty standard in the area. But you have to park at the top levels of the parking structure which is hard in a larger vehicle as the path to the top is quite narrow. You can tell a lot of people scrape their vehicles on the way up from the marks on the walls. We did get used to it by the end but it took us about 15 minutes getting up the first try.

The pool (or "splash lounge") was disappointing. We didn't look into it before booking, but the pool/"wading pool" at its deepest is a little over 14" deep. We weren't expecting that and other people were confused as well. The hot tub had better depth but it definitely could have been hotter.

Overall we enjoyed out stay!

The location was close to shopping centers and food but 2 blocks away from the beach. The room was outdated and the pool is a disappointment.

We stayed for 5 nights and definitely come back.
The hotel is very basic, but since you are on Oahu you do not spent much time un the room anyway. The room was clean and modern.
There is no restaurant service at the moment, but you have a lot of restaurants within 2 walking minutes.

Solid 4 star Hyatt option. No frills service for Hyatt Centric in the US. (this is not the Hyatt Centric Ginza experience). But it gets the job done. Don't stay here if you are expecting to be directly on the beach, you are not. You are a couple of blocks out.
