Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa reviews
25Excellent management and service! Right on the beach with an amazing pool. The room was spacious with a nice balcony. I would definitely stay here again!
The pool is spectacular the views and the animals. Wow! Very accommodating and the people who work there are awesome. I will be back. Thank you Hyatt for an amazing experience.
Reviewing for Single King bed with ocean view balcony. One of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in. I guess it was recently renovated- and I was impressed. When I got out of bed in the dark, tiny motion sensors set off footlights under the bed and in the bathrooms- they quickly went off when motion ceased. The view was amazing. I was in the room closest to the elevator and couldn’t hear a peep. There was even a digital clock in the bathroom mirror! Plenty of outlets and USB ports. It’s the small touches that make all the difference- wish I would have stayed there instead of switching to the Andaz halfway through my trip. The Hyatt Regency felt like home and has major Aloha!
Stunning! The new renovation is outstanding! The luau is back too, social distanced and table service! You need to return to this beautiful resort!
This place is great. We were there for 7 nights and were sad to leave. Great rooms and great access to so many things in Maui. I'm sure we will be back.
Wonderful staff. Excellent and professional service throughout facility. Cvd19 protocol in place. They are not messing around in Hawaii. It was PERFECTION
Rooms are nice and have no issue. The staff is friendly. The pool is nice and large but wake up early to reserve seats by the pool or there is no chance you are Getting them. The beach in front of the hotel is quite small and there are no chairs available for rental to lay out there. The other resorts along the beach have larger area along the shore with more chairs. Other than Japengo (which is overpriced), the food and drinks are not very good and are way too expensive. You will also be hounded frequently by some of the employees about buying a timeshare under the disguise of a free game of golf or a Luau. Furthermore, avoid the luau at this hotel. It is not good.
Way too many sales people pushing timeshares. Was promised a free snorkel trip plus a luau for a 90 minute tour. Got there and was told it was the trip or the luau - not both. Bait and switch? Not worth it! I'm sure the "90" minutes would have been high pressure. We skipped it. Now we have to run the gauntlet of friendly sales reps trying to insnare us every time we leave the room. Not great.
Love this place! It's my home away from home. The staff is excellent and I come to this location once every other year. Everyone is so professional and kind. Ariel the manager is amazing and super hospitable. I get big hugs from the Club Regency folks when I stop by. They are definitely like my "Ohana"! I couldn't be happier with my stay. Thank you Hyatt Regency Maui.
Penguins, Pools, Parties and Power. This Hyatt superpower real-estate tycoon billionaire organization has got penguins in the lobby and parrots in the Halls. A hot tub under a water fall and a flower nursery next to the valet.
Gorgeous property with friendly and attentive staff. The grounds are beyond belief with Incredible pieces of Asian artwork on display and easily accessible. I enjoy watching the penguins and always think I will make it for their morning feeding but have yet to do so. The pool is massive and the beach is perfect.
There is a lovely pond with swans, flamingos, and other beautiful birds. The walking path along Kaanapali Beach is an easy walk and very enjoyable.
South end of the beach, kids loved the water slides. Pools are nice, a bit crowded during Christmas break. Self park is crowded during Luau, so time your parking accordingly, unless you valet. Japengo is awesome, prepare for spendy hotel prices. Staff was friendly. Will definitely return to this place.
A truly excellent home base for our week on Maui. They do have penguins and tropical birds which is cool. They are about on par with the other properties on Kaanapali in terms of luxury, cleanliness, and overall accommodations. Note that there is more coral in the shallow water in front of Hyatt and the adjacent resorts at the southern end of Kaanapali. In front of the Westin and Kaanapali Alli (further north on the beach) the coral was almost non existent in the shallower water where we swam. The restaurants are on par with other resorts in terms of food quality but are significantly more expensive. We ate many meals at the Marriott down the beach.
The location is really stunning and beautiful right on the beach with a view of two islands and the mountains in the background. It's hard to find a prettier place to be. The rooms are nice and very clean good amenities as well. The staff was all very accommodating, friendly, prompt and professional.
My family had a wonderful time! Great location right on the beach, great amenities. Very friendly staff.
An awesome resort with great views, room, beaches and facilities. Exceptional. The rooms are starting to show some wear but otherwise spectacular. The room pictures were from 1818 in the main tower.
Great family fun resort with lots of activities. Beach is a little rocky and would be nice if it had a little more sand. However the view and staff is fully 5 stars.this area is lively and relaxing at the same time. Have been to hawaii 8 times and My personal favorite. Drove to hana is a must but remember to start very early. Took us 13 hours round trip.worth it though
A magical place! I hope to God I get to come back and enjoy this paradise again one day. The food is great, amazing service, and the location is breathtaking!
Went to the Hyatt for some drinks Obviously maui bar drink prices. But great experianced bar tenders and in the lobby there are penguins!
Upon arrival in Maui off a Carnival Cruise, Legend ship, we took an excursion that included a Luau at the Hyatt Regency and were delighted with the experience.
The dancers were superb, the atmosphere friendly and welcoming and the food delicious. Highly recommend.
