Cafe Insomnia reviews
18Amazing little coffee shop with a very sweet couple. They make you feel like family when you dine there. The sandwich in French bread had amazing flavor.
The best Vietnamese coffee in the area. By far. Hands down. The staff was extremely friendly - seriously maybe one of the most energetic, excited, passionate servers I have ever met - and the coffee was just so delicious. A must try for anyone who wants this type of drink, or is looking to be more adventurous with coffee. Be be warned, it is extremely strong and will have you wired for the day!
Super awesome atmosphere, great service and food! The breakfast options are good but their mongolian beef is GREAT! If you're in the area and need a good strong cup of coffee it's here!
thanks for everything!
Perfect.that is all I have for you. The owners are beyond positive and polite, the food was fresh and bursting with flavors and aroma. The atmosphere was relaxing and delightful. The bathroom was clean and organized. I'll be sure to visit this location again. It's a short walk from the cruise terminal, if that's how you came. A+ and beyond.
Very friendly service from aunty. Their house special Thai coffee was very strong and delicious.
Not loving my iced latte and they seem to do a brisk lunch takeout business so even an iced latte can take some time midday. The iced latte may be powdered and it’s definitely bitter—probably nice in Vietnamese coffee, but not my favorite coffee flavor in a regular latte. I’ll definitely come back for the food, that looked good and reasonably priced for the area. The owners who work the counter are very friendly.
Strong Vietnamese coffee that will rev your engine and keep you up. Delicious lemon grass chicken bahn mi sandwich nicely seasoned, crisp toasted bread and with crunchy pickled vegetables.
I love this place, it's relaxing and they give the best service. It's also a little hidden gem to just get a meal or coffee and enjoy, especially in this not so hidden trendy Kakaako area. On top of that, this is a mom & pops establishment, which means they appreciate your business.
HORRIBLE. We got watery horrible “shakes” and then got overcharged the wrong price that was listed as 4.50 on the menu. She then told me it wasn’t the updated price. Super unprofessional. And horrible they didn’t see how watery and disgusting the drink was
Excellent Coffee, Excellent Service, Excellent Sandwich, Excellent Smiles. Come buy something
Legit Vietnamese coffee and the lemongrass Banh Mi is pretty good too. The owners are AWESOME! Best Saturday morning welcome I’ve experienced in Hawaii!
The couple that runs this Cafe are incredibly hospitable. Atmosphere is good and ac feels comfortable. Coffee is next level and jet fuel as far as I'm concerned. Strongest coffee for the money on the island hands down. The banh mi is pretty good and we had the lemon grass chicken. The lemon grass chicken was flavorful and had a bit of heat. Overall lovely experience and would recommend to any coffee lover looking for different food offerings.
If you are in the need for a pick me up this is spot. Order a iced Vietnamese coffee, medium sweet.
This is a really cute place with both indoor and outdoor seating to grab a cup of coffee or a light bite to eat. It is located in the back corner of Salt, so you need to hunt for it.
I got their Vietnamese iced coffee as it was midday and getting a bit hot. I really appreciated it when they asked me how sweet to make it because normally it isn't an option. Their Vietnamese ice coffee is probably the best I have ever had and had robust strong body to it that held up against the ice.
Their food offerings are minimal, but all sounded great and wish I had ordered their Vietnamese breakfast sandwich. Next time for sure and hopefully soon.
Also, The couple that run it are very nice and super friendly. The place felt way more welcoming and comfortable than the other coffee places in the area.
The owners are incredibly friendly. The food is so so good. The lemon grass sandwich is great. My favorite is the pork chops. We’ve come back several times.
A+ Vietnamese iced coffee.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Definitely worth a visit.
Got a Vietnamese coffee! The owners here are so sweet and make you feel at home - will definitely return!
Such a sweet couple running this place with a cute atmosphere and delicious coffee and food!
