Island Hopper Taproom reviews
21 Good vegetarian options. Awesome waffle fries.
Went back again. Terrible nachos; I thought it was nearly impossible to screw up nachos but they did. All chips, 10 strands of shredded cheese, anemic tomatoes, a child's handful of corn.
Fantastic venue. Brilliant selection of beers and good food. Staff were great and I’d definitely visit again.
Hazuki was wonderful, she was patient and helped us find a perfect drink. Thank you Hazuki
We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the hockey game. Huge selection of craft beers from all over the islands. The pig sandwich was delicious!
Overall decent experience. Large selection of beers and great apps. The Onion Rings were huge and tasty. Service was great an the outdoor seating was plentiful. You don't get that night-time breeze but you don't really need it
Eela was fantastic.fast, thoughtful, funny, and effective.food was solid and the tap list is deeper than the Pacific
A lot of beer choices and even some good cocktails. Menu seems normal pub fare but I've only had appetizers. Great service!
The food was delicious! We drove across island to visit and we were not disappointed. Great selection, freshness and fabulous taste. My only hope is the owners consider a second restaurant in Pahoa!
I give this place props for having labeled vegan options on the menu, that's definitely a plus.
That said, why are all of the vegan options $3-$4 more than the omnivore options? That doesn't make any sense. Pork nachos for $3 cheaper? That bothers me and they really need to fix it. The vegan options (i.e. Plant based nachos) don't even come with impossible, beyond, or another plant based protein.just a few beans and corn. I think that's a ripoff. Look at my photo and tell me those nachos are worth $20 ($3 more than pork nachos).
Anyway, the fries are good, just beware the resort food price and quality. And enjoy the variety of beer they offer. Staff were nice.
Nice servers but that's all. Microwaved patties. Frozen chicken. Nachos almost stale and the salsa had bad pineapples. Just not it
Reasonably priced for where it is located. Most of the other places in the mall are way overpriced.
Shockingly delicious food for such a hidden location! Awesome spinach dip, fries, sandwiches, and beers. Prices are amazing and honestly, this food (although basic in nature) was better than any meal we had at the Fairmont Orchid! Highly recommend if you’re vibing with anything on their menu.
A wonderful burger place with amazing local products and local beers with a wide selection.family owned operation with great service that is reasonably priced in a resort. What more could you ask for?
This is a great addition to the Mauna Lani shops. The food is good and priced well, the amount of drinks is insane and the staff are all super friendly
Went in for a drink. Great service from the bartender, but will definitely never go back. We each ordered a cocktail and a shot. After serving us our specialty drinks he lined up the shot glasses, but was called away before pouring anything. Here's where things got really weird; he came back and informed us, with apologies, that he couldn't serve us anymore and that we would have to finish our drinks and leave. We then watched a large party seated behind us, who hadn't yet ordered dinner, be told to leave as well. Within minutes the entire restaurant was cleared of all customers. This was at 7: 30 on a Saturday night. There isn't a reasonable explanation that I can conceive of to explain treating people like this. Soooo bizarre. When we asked for an explanation we were told it had something to do with the kitchen. The owner himself didn't offer any apologies or explanations to anyone.
Great spot with lots of beer options and decent food, service was perfect but it's situated in the middle of the mall so no view.
We stayed in the area for a week and ate here 3 times. Very casual atmosphere. Great food local to Hawaii. Amazing beer selection! Almost better than going to any one brewery, as they had extensive options on tap from many local breweries. Friendly service, fair prices. Kids menu. Highly recommend!
Nice relaxed spot to have a meal. We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze. Our service was outstanding! Drinks and food were good. My only complaint was my burger was a little over cooked and dry but it still had great flavor and I ate all of it!
Great place to grab a drink and relax. Erica is probably the best bartender in the history of everything.
Drinks are overpriced compared to other establishments in the area. If you're looking for good mixed drinks go elsewhere (maybe Kuleana). Overall, food was ok. Probably not the best place for dinner, but fine for hanging out at a pub. Portions are small considering price. There are better alternatives down the way at the Queen's Marketplace, or even in Waimea.
