Highway 47 on Molokai ends at Palaau State Park. It is high enough to be relatively cool and a short walk provides you with an outstanding view of the Kalaupapa Peninsula.once the home of an infamous leper colony made world famous by Father, now Saint Damien and now part of the National Park Service.

Also nearby is the well-known phallic rock.

The towering iron wood trees provide protection from any strong trade winds, the park is a very nice picnic area.

The walking trails in this area are interesting, I'm not sure what the long needled trees are, but they are beautiful.
