Kaimu Korner Country Store reviews
16This is the only store in the area, only place to get food anywhere near without driving an extra 30 minutes to town, and it has been an absolute lifesaver. The employees are always friendly, selection is good, and the sandwiches and salads are delicious too. If they sold gas I would probably just give them my entire paycheck because there are no gas stations in the area either
It's the most expensive store in hawaii I think he is over charging. Anyways it's a ripoff.
Friendly service. They have a little bit of everything. Prices are steep compared to rest of the island. They have things I couldn't find anywhere else though. Have to check expiration dates on refrigerated items some were past sell by date. Didn't have ant traps unfortunately, only the spray.
Poor quality
Poor choices
Poorly done food
Poor attitudes
You are obviously there for there convenience. Shop in Pahoa first save money.
I used to shop there regularly spending alot of money monthly. Most recently though my car was vandalized in the parking lot.
This is a really neat store that seems to be thriving despite being literally at the end of the road, in the middle of no place. Well stocked and friendly. Lava flows have been disrupting the surrounding area and destroying houses, and making new land for a number of years, this little outpost persists in the face of all of those challenges with a lava flow right out the front of the parking lot.
SUPER friendly people. I couldnt believe how reasonable all of the prices were. I can imagine this is a God send for locals in the area.
Surprisingly well stocked and good prices, especially considering the location (literally the end of the road and kinda in the middle of nowhere) - and it's the only thing resembling a grocery store for many miles. Was very clean and tidy while I was there (we were down for the Market/show that happens weekly right next door).
This shop has everything I need living near by. I prefer to shop at Kaimu rather than going into Pahoa for other stores. The staff is also pretty great. Thanks you guys for doing such a good job and it's nice to see you familiar faces every time I go in,

Like coming home to your old neighborhood store a little expensive but you spend the same money if you went to town on gas.
Serving the remote areas along coastal Pahoa, this little shop provides a dynamo of goods and freshly prepared food.
Being a continued customer and former Employee, This Store and it's Employees of both old and new have always adapt in pressured situations. Progression been made significantly since new management & without any complications have also help the community in many ways. You need to be a regular there to truly grasp how much work been put into this store & how much Aloha and leniency this Store and it's community been givin. Just Go and take a few minutes of your time to check it out. I promise you. I've never been disappointed. But rather Greatful of the store existence.
The manager Zion is nasty and rude. Always coughing all over the place and on people. Like hacking nasty loud cough with no mask on. I'm a paying customer. I cause no problems. I eat my lunch there quietly myself and he walked past me 3 times and coughed all over me directly. I asked why he did that. Thinking maybe he thinks I stole or something and he gave me a sarcastic "sorry" and walked away. I'll nev we r spend another dollar there.
Unique market with the opportunity to secure local items. For instance, we were able to find this local wine that was made at Volcano, Hawaii. Also, the only place you can find drinks and snacks in the area.
Neighborhood store
? , High, 9 miles to Pahoa.
Still a good place when you just need a few items, they are well stocked, friendly associates.
A little expensive. I avoid the sandwiches which are too expensive for what they are. Beer and soda.
Terrible management, overpriced everything! Witnessed the owner (zion) not practice mask discipline, coughing all over the deli area. Management (zion) has also not practiced quarantine procedures risking employees and community. Avoid coming here.
Zion likes to make like big boto and kick everyone out. I ain’t the rob you think I am. Still don’t go there. Needs new management.
