KAPA Bar & Grill reviews
16A great pool-side restaurant and pub. The Mai Tai drinks are delicious. I had the catch of the day burger, and the blackened swordfish did not disappoint. The service was excellent.
Went there twice for lunch. Very nice and healthy salads. The following days we had the "root Salad" with extra protein. I got chicken (mistake) and my wife got blue Marlin which was outstanding. I stole most of her fish. Shame on me. Conclusion. Stick to fish.
Nice view of the ocean. Had the fresh catch sandwich (marlin) and the Korean chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich looked amazing, but was not quite as good as it appeared. A little chewy and average flavor.
Disclosure on the chicken sandwich review - my wife loved it and disagreed with my take. She doesn’t share my great taste, but she’s the boss so the decision’s final - great Korean chicken sandwich!
The marlin sandwich was unmanageable to eat as a sandwich and had to be taken apart to eat the fish separately. The marlin wasn’t as fresh tasting as menu title suggested.
Service was pleasant and friendly.
Great location for walking to get food and Starbucks. Whole foods and Publix are super close. Gym is okay, pool area is wonderful
Nice bar, great bar tenders. Drinks were over priced, but when you're out in the sun and want a cold one, it's a good place to chill. I would have stayed more and ordered more if prices were more reasonable.
Delicious food! We had breakfast and dinner here. Everything was delicious, cooked to perfect. I recommend getting the daily catch. I had it on my tacos and then on my salad another night, it was delicious! Drinks we had were very good as well.

My family's not usually the type to dine at restaurants in the hotel/resort because we typically like to adventure outside and look for the "foodie" spots. If you're like me and use reviews as a standard for determining where to eat, then let me say that this is a pretty good spot!
I tend to underestimate hotel food and the "bar and grill" title gave me the notion that they serve just American cuisine, which I personally don't prefer when I'm vacationing in Hawaii. However, this actually turned out to be a nice spot for dinner. (:
We stayed at the Wailea Beach Resort so this was only two steps away. Plus, you're right by the pool and can get a view of the sunset here if you time it up right.
The food was also pretty good! I wasn't a big fan of the double ahi roll, but everything else was really tasty! Definitely consider trying this spot, especially if you're staying at the Marriott!
We visited twice during our visit to Maui, once for lunch and another for dinner. The service we recieved was exceptional both times. The swordfish sandwich was perfect and our drinks were all well made.
Waited 15 minutes for our reservation despite the place being mostly empty. Waited another 10 minutes to see our waitress and get water. Saw her only a single other time during which she left before I could order a second drink. Food was mediocre at best.
Two stars because the sunset was nice, and there was live music beside the pool between 6: 30 and 7. Wish it had gone on a little longer.
We went to the serenity pool bar near Kapa grill. The drink called Haleakala Heat was fabulous! The chicken wings were also great. Our bartender Bea took great care of us and the servers that surrounded her were full of life and good humor. We walked over 2 miles to get there and loved it so much we walked there again the next day. Oh, and a view is breathtaking.
Erick was a wonderful server. We were blessed with a perfect ocean facing table, a beautiful sunset, and live music. The meal was delicious with an amazing atmosphere! Will definitely recommend and return
Had the fish tacos here they were delicious. Light and tasty with a hint of spice. The hostess was also very attentive would eat here again!
Patricia Lau was very nice and gave us some local tips. Food was good. Great place to get a beverage before dipping into the pool.
We came here for dinner and didn’t make a reservation in advance. I recommend making one but we walked in and only had to wait 5 minutes for a table for us. We had the Korean chicken wings and the grilled fish sandwich. Both were good and our waiter took great care of us and checked in on us often.
Fish tacos and poke were great.went back and had the fish tacos again! Service was great too. Bring your Vax card or you can't eat under the patio.
