Kihei Caffe reviews
16 We looked at a few places online, and this one had the best reviews. The setup is a bit wonky as there are no directions on how to get inside the restaurant as everything is roped off. But you walk past a boutique and Ohana to get to Kihei. You order inside, then grab your drinks, and then sit outside. They call your name and bring your food to you. I ordered two slices of french toast with blueberries and fresh squeezed Hawaiian orange juice. Everything was delicious. Even the chickens and roosters think the food is excellent too!
They do not have public bathrooms; you must walk across the street to the park to use the restrooms—other than that, no complaints.
My husband and I went to the Kihei Caffe on a Saturday morning and it was pretty busy, but we got in within 10 minutes. I ordered a cheese omelette with mushroom and my husband ordered the French toast. I loved the omelette and would definitely get it again, the potatoes tasted stale.
Quick and amazing food so fast our drinks came out after our food. Sat at the bar rail and got to watch the sights. Would come back again for sure.
We have eaten here a few times while visiting Maui. The food is really not all that great and is rather pricey for what you get. It’s like eating in a port a potty. I really don’t see what all the hype is all about. Also the staff is not all that friendly in my opinion.
There are 2 locations now in Kehei. The original is.well the best but for indoor dining you can visit the new location. Food is just as great and service is fast but no roosters yet.
Good atmosphere. Most Plates are huge, one can feed two people. Enjoyed it but over hyped and overpriced. It was ok.
TOO MUCH FLIES!
Although food is quite nice and good value, you can’t enjoy them in the restaurant. Hundreds of flies are attacking your dish every moment. I was busy with avoiding them and lost all my aptitude.
Food was good we went there a few times the chickens will be walking around your feet. Overall would go again.
Very good food! Enjoyed the service and atmosphere. I went every morning I was in Maui. Get there early if you can. It's gets busy!
We were looking for a brunch and we saw this place just across the Kamala park. They were quite busy and we thought that we should give it a try.
We order both regular loco moco and killua pork loco moco. The regular loco moco feels very homey and doesn’t scream something memorable but it’s still a very good dish. The killua pork is a lot better and more enjoyable because of the pork texture that it feels like you’re eating a corn beef. It has more flavour than the other one.
Pricing is fair and the portion is amazing. Service is a straight forward and you’ll get your order in a few minutes. Overall, I would say give it a try maybe you will like it. But I would suggest to get the Killua pork rather than the regular one.
Perk is the line moves fast. The food we got was okay. The coconut syrup is tasty. The volume of food is large, be prepared.
We were sat at a bar top that was slated, not the best place to try to eat at.
Amazing for breakfast and lunch, I would say dinner, but I didn't have any dinner while I was there. Has both classic breakfast fare like pancakes with eggs and pancake plus more local fare like the Kalua pork loco moco (protein over rice covered in brown gravy) with fried rice. Would give this spot 5 stars all the way across, but they could use a few more fans to combat the heat while sitting outdoors.
Somewhat busy, order your food at the counter then find a seat, not my preferred way of eating breakfast. Food what mediocre, coffee that costed 7$ was not good. I believe there is another Kihei caffe down the street from this location that looked a lot more appealing.
Pancakes are a must! The chicken fried steak also had so much amazing flavor and was not dry. We loved our meal!
Good but I don’t really understand the hype. I’ve had much better breakfast on the islands. The coffee was ok. The coconut pineapple French toast had tons of grated fresh coconut on top, which was delicious but the French toast itself was just normal/mediocre. My fiancé got a breakfast sandwich which he thought was delicious but he did feel the need to add hot sauce to it. The rest of our party got kind of an assortment of items that varied from good to just ok including just ok juices. I would definitely eat here again if someone else wanted to, but wouldn’t necessarily recommend.
