Kolekole Beach Park reviews
13 Per the pictures I thought there might be trails to walk on. And signs saying there is lead in the ground
The water falls was nice, had nice views
Absolutely a must see small but wondrous park. Walk the stream down to where it meets the ocean and you will also see a waterfall to the left which empties into the freshwater stream. A trifecta!
The entrance road is quite daunting but it's not so bad after you get to the parking. The park isn't large. They do have some very photogenic opportunities.
It's been a while since I went down Kolekole beach park shared with my grandson and husband.
Cool view but avoid going on the dirt in the park there has been lead contamination over the years
I was told this is a must go to but I wasn't impressed. If you have nothing better to do, you can go. They have bathrooms which is good. There's an old bridge that isn't used & on the other side is all private property, even the small water fall with rope swing but he said he doesn't mind sharing that part of his land
Hidden gem. Blink and you'll miss the entrance. Small oceanside and inlet park beneath the loop road. Fantastic views. Well maintained.
Oh my goodness this is a wonderful place to visit and relax absolutely gorgeous and wonderful. So blessed to have found this lovely little spot. Definitely highly recommend stopping by here.
Aloha! One of my favorite spot to just relax. One of the only spots to check out the mounts water and salt water mix. Wow. This place is so magical. I see lots of young people surfing and possibly sacrificing their life if not careful. The waves are so strong it’s not really for swimming. I tried once and I almost lost my sandwich!
Awesome beach park under a bridge. It has a covered picnic area. There was a waterfall feeding into the steam and ocean waves crashing into the inlet. Also noticed a rope swing. The downside was the possible lead exposure, explained by the multiple signs everywhere.
Great place to stop and walk if you are in hilo area, it's free to the public.
There is a cool little place. Amazing views! We spent about an half of hour here.
Nice scenic beach park under the bridge where you can relax and listen to the ocean waves crashing into the rocks. Park is kept up very well and was mostly clean.
This is an amazing camping staycation. You are tucked away, down a path that leads to individual covered picnic tables and outhouses for our convenience. A river runs along side the park going toward the ocean as the ocean meets the river creating brackish water. This is a picnic you will never forget.
