Great Introduction to Kona!
I enjoyed Kona Tasting Tours on my 2nd day here.
Quickly learned which restaurants to return to for dinner and where to go for happy hour! Yes - we sampled some of the best cocktails too!
Ellie, our guide, shared Kona History and pictures, painting a landscape of what Kona was years ago while we stood in front the historic palace and church.
Mai Tai’s, chowder and avocado fries were some of our delicious tastings, and we finished with Gelato. Ellie even brought a “butter banana” picked from her home tree!
Highly recommend.

Loved this tour! Food portions were perfect and had just enough room for the Gelato! Drinks were tasty too. Kai, our tour guide, was great and shared a lot of history and information about the area. Had a great time.recommend fitting this into your plans.

It was my first time participating in a tour to visit various restaurants, and it was great!
Our guide, Ani, was very friendly and explained a lot about the history of the Big Island of Hawaii and showed us old photos, making it a very educational tour.
At each restaurant, you can get one drink and one dish, and it was nice that the portions were just right and you could enjoy a variety of things.
The last gelato shop also had a cup a little smaller than the small size, and you could choose two flavors.
Drinks were basically cocktails and beer, and there were some shops where you could choose lemonade.
This tour is recommended for people who like drinking and eating while walking!

My girlfriend and I enjoyed this tour. The guides were helpful and knowledgeable and helpful and the food was very good! I had my doubts initially about being in such a trendy area but they pulled it off and added good local history.

A better description of the tour would be helpful. This tours main focus was on the alcohol. We don’t drink. If we would have know their main focus was alcohol we would have chosen a different tour. They did serve us mocktails but they were terrible and honestly we couldn’t even drink them they were that bad. This tour was very large. It made it hard to hear the tour guides.

A fantastic tour. Nothing short. Our guides; Kama and Kai were very warm and knowledgeable. Loved all the food choices on the tour along with the history of Hawai’i being shared. A blast for all and a great environment to break bread with new people. Kai and Kama were very good working around allergies and people who did not want alcohol. Highly recommend

We had a blast on this walking tour with Kyra and Kama! They had so much interesting information on Kona and Hawaii and took us to some wonderful local places in Kona. All the food we had was wonderful and the drinks/cocktails too. They were so friendly and welcoming and made everyone feel comfortable. Highly recommend!

Fun tour guides. A great way to try different foods and decide which restaurants to go to. Went back to one of the restaurants the next day.

Kama, our tour guide was kind, accommodating to all the people in our group (tweens to grandparents). Loved how she mixed in local history with the foods/places we visited (7 restaurants) plus the local delicacy of spam "sushi" roll that Kama brought in her special cooler for us to try. All the food and drink (alcohol or virgin for non drinkerw) were delicious and interesting to try. Our favorite was the Maitai at the Kona Inn. All the establishments (many with ocean views) were prepared for our group, so no waiting to be seated. Very well paced. Our group finished at 3 hours. I was stuffed and glad I didn't eat anything before the tour started at 12: 30 pm. Highly recommend and would advise to take this tour as soon as you arrive in Kona so you can revisit some of these good local restaurants in again! Don't miss this tour!

This is such a delightful tour. This is by far the best food and drink tour we’ve taken. My wife and I had an amazing time. This tour is so worth it. A must do! Our guides were informative and very knowledgeable about the culture in Hawaii, Kona in particular. This tour is well paced with plenty of bathroom breaks. We had food tastings at seven (7) different restaurants. The food was delicious at each stop. We also stopped at the local farmer’s market and tasted the local fruit. I had never heard of a Rambutan. It’s a strange looking red fruit with a spiney outer shell. Once you open it up the center is like a grape that’s been skinned only much larger. The meat of it is soft and sweet. I must confess that I like Rambutans and look forward to eating more. Each food stop location is steeped in Hawaiian history that our guides shared with us. If you’re looking for something outside of the usual city or self guided tour this one’s for you. An note to all ‘foodies’ - the food is all locally sourced and wonderfully prepared. Do not pass on this one. The gelato at the end of the tour is worth it all by itself. Aloha and Bon Appetite!
