Kuhio Grille - Home Of The Famous 1lb Laulau reviews
17Good food. Quick service and like that they have a garden of the luau leaves and ti leaves. Sustainability noted
Food was good quality. Vibe was old school diner. Service was attentive, but soda refills were not free. Tried the LauLau and it wasn’t my cup of tea, but was well prepared.
This had to be the best meal in hawaii. The laulau was unbelievable. Got the plate to share. It sounded odd but was to die for and service impeccable
The 1 lb lau lau was excellent. They also offer clutch menu items like papaya chicken, kalua pig, pork water cress, amd more when you need real nutrition!
Came for the saimin which was delicious. Our server Sherry and host Erin were so kind and went above and beyond for us! Highly recommend
Great place to eat. Decent prices. Atmosphere could use some work. Would recommend to everyone.
Delicious diner with authentic Hawaiian food. Super friendly staff, our waitress was so sweet and we all loved our meals.
Visited on tour. The Hawaiian plate I received without expectations was exquisite. I was impressed by the deliciousness of traditional Hawaiian cuisine.
Great spot for local comfort food, you gotta try the one pound Lau Lau! Their desserts are also delicious. Love visiting Kuhio Grille when I visit Hilo. Lots of parking and good seating available. Definitely make this a must visit for food when on Big Island.
Make sure you go there hungry. Very generous portions at reasonable prices. Their Hawaiian food is delicious! Service is exceptional! Food served quickly. Water and coffee filled without having to ask.
I tried Laulau and it was not my favorite. The leaves have an unusual taste that I didn't like.
My friends from Honolulu said it was the beat Lau lau they've ever had. Unfortunately, service could have been a little better with refills and taking care of the check.
First time eating laulau, and I think I found my new favorite food! My son and I split a laulau with fried rice because we weren't starving, but we could have easily each devoured a full 1 Lb laulau because it was so delicious. Had lilikoi delite for dessert, which was phenomenal (don't mind the presentation in the to go box.we opted to eat it right away!). Oh, and the chili water was a new thing for us; we found it quite tasty! Super helpful, attentive servers. Kuhio's Grille is a super place to grab a Hawaiian meal!
They were sold out of everything we wanted to order, so we were disappointed. There was no sign saying what was sold out, and the server didn't tell us before we tried to order. But the food they did have was pretty good.
Staff was great! We had a party of 5 and was quickly seated. Tried the famous lau lau and it was sooo yummy! Try the Kanak attack plate. You won't regret it!
We were celebrating a belated birthday. Of course we ordered the 1 lb laulau, etc. I didn't think to take pictures of our orders. We were so hungry, everyone attacked their plates. We had excellent service from Chase.
I did take a picture of the dessert. Lava cake with vanilla ice cream. My friend enjoyed it very much!
I was there last week and had the chicken cutlet and the laulau. Very delicious tho a bit salty for me. As I understand laulau is suppose to be salty. I recommend this restaurant if you are in Hilo.
