Lex Brodie's Tires Pahoa, Pāhoa HI

12/8/2023 So went in 30 minutes before closing, as they were already preparing to close, with a tire puncture. The specialist at the counter was sweeping the lobby, there were no other customers, he did come out to check my tire and stated that he didn’t know if it could even be repaired. He went into the garage/service area to get the tire specialist who was already in the back of the building and didn’t even come out to assess if tire could be repaired or not so the counter specialist offered to sell/order me a new tire without out any knowledge of needing replacement. I was very disappointed and disheartened by the lack of professionalism and commitment to service. I’ve been a customer for years and have depended on this shop for my personal vehicle and for the my company vehicle. No more!

These folks do auto repair and maintenance like it should be done. Best safety inspection I have ever had done with many photographs and written and verbal descriptions on things that might be an issue in the near future. Very impressed with their service

I believe his name is Steven Brown, but his customer service skills need improving. I walked in about 10 mins early for an oil change appointment and he walked in after, never acknowledged me standing there. It wasn't until a 2nd worker walked in, he was busy with another customer but he at least said "we'll be with you in a moment".

I had a cat stuck in my car. Animal control couldn't help, the police couldn't help, I couldn't get it out myself, and I had nowhere to turn except going to lex Brody's. They went above and beyond to help me and got the cat out and I can't thank them enough. These guys are genuine dudes and would highly recommend their service.

It's where I go to get my annual safety sticker that's needed to operate your car on Hawaii roads! It's close to my house and doesn't take very long. I didn't make an appointment.

The improvements didn't last. Appointments aren't treated as appointments. They're more like a place holder for waiting in line. Make a 1PM appointment for a safety check and you'll be lucky to get out of there by 2: 30.

Update:
New management, New crew. Things are better.
I still can't bring myself to get repairs done here but for safety checks and tires they seem to be on top of it.

Been ripped off here more than once. Anything other than tire install is a gamble.

Very capable and knowledgeable mechanic's, with cordial, patient, and polite personalities, who really take the time to listen to their customers automotive concerns. They rehauled my brakes, and I'm very satisfied! They also do Safety Checks! Mahalo David, Koa, Ken, and Ramon! Keep up the great terrific work!

Avoid this place. They will charge you arm and leg. Went there they quoted me 2300$ to fix a minor leak then went to Paul's repair quoted me 600$ for the same job. I will try to avoid them in any cost they are dishonest people. Also fixed my starter with them and broke after a week. I understand they aren't a lot of shops in Pahoa but try to shop around first and I promise you will find a cheaper price and better service elsewhere!

Took my car to lex brodies in Kona For an oil change left the screw loose and burnt out my motor I wouldn't trust these guys to change my tire.

Found a screw in my tire. Too close to the sidewall for an easy repair. They got me taken care of with a new tire in less than 30 minutes. Very friendly.

Thank you to Ramon & the team at Pahoa Lex Brodie. The service was great. Ramon looked over some issues & answered all my questions. I thought I may need new tires but he showed me that I did not. Thanks again.
