Fantastic day fishing. Crew had the knowledge to get us on and catch fish. Made every effort to ensure we had an extraordinary experience. Will definitely return and fish with live-bait again.

We caught fish, which was good. Dusty was great! The captain doesn't play well with others. If you don't understand your own price structure then that seems like a business problem, not a customer problem. This owner may do well with a briefing from whoever runs his pricing so he doesn't take out his frustration on clients.

Shannon an his crew was so amazing and such a blessing to me an my family. Very welcoming and very patient. From the start of booking with him all the way til the end of the trip it was an experience I will always remember. Mahalo Shannon!

Had an amazing full day trip with Captain Shannon and his son, catching my first blue marlin and plenty of tuna! Nice boat and hard working crew.

Had an awesome time out with Live Bait Sport fishing. Our captain was top notch and his first mate did everything he could to make sure the boat ran smoothly and that we landed tons of fish. I highly recommend anyone who comes to Honolulu book a charter with them. We ended up with 28 Ahi Tuna and 1 Mahi-Mahi during our charter. Thank you again for an incredible day, we had a blast.

Kicked the morning off with the crew catching a number of bait fish for the charter and finished the charter reeling in a 175 pound Marlin. Great time!

We booked this trip thinking by their website that we would catch fish. We know it’s called fishing not catching. But the only thing we went to fish for was Marlin, that was it…. Just Marlin.
Told that there was nothing else to fish for? What, Really. So we started out by going to catch bait, which we WATCHED them do, they didn’t even have anything for the guests to use to even help or even try to help. It was the Captain and his son as crew, he smoked, they were nice people, just not much of a business that caters to the guests. We had a Marlin on at the end of the day, and the son messed it up (not on purpose, it was an accident) but then the captain was cussing his son out right in front of us, which we thought was wrong. We were on the boat all day and only one of us out of 4 of us even got to touch a fishing pole. There are things their web site say that aren’t even true, the captain hasn’t even seen his web site. So over all we paid $800 to go for a day long Boat ride. Would not recommend them. Just saying.

I'm heading back to Oahu in a few weeks and I realized that on my last trip I didn't leave a review for Live Bait Fishing, I usually fish when I travel to Oahu. My experience with Live Bait Fishing was a major disapointment, we booked a full day, not only didn't we catch anything, the crew was a joke no real effort, never changed lures, no live bait, just a waste of a day on the water and I mean wasted time. They are more in it just to take your money.

Fishing with the Live Bait crew was awesome! Top notch boat and quality gear caught us a Marlin, Ono’s, and yellow fins. Was a fun day out at sea, mahalo Captain Shannon!

Went out with Capt Shannon and Steve in Dec. 2019 and had a great time. Landed 6 yellow fins and lost 4 to sharks. Even saw dolphins playing with a whale. Crew was very professional, after ten minutes or so it felt like we knew each other for years. Will fish with them the next time in Hawaii.

Best charter on Oahu! Awesome day fishing with some really good guys. When everyone else couldn't go out because of the weather Captain Shannon made it happen!

We went out with capt shannon and Steve and had a great time. Caught lots of fish and was even able to catch a few on my own spinning rod. Is it luxury? Accommodations? Not really but the boat is sea worthy and the tackle is more then up to the task. Do you need to catch bait first? YES IS LIVE BAIT FISHING! And we all left with generous portions of the catch. If you want pampered day on the water there are many $2,000 charters out there to choose from. If you want a shot at the big one and not break the bank this is the charter for you.
