L&L Hawaiian, Lihue HI

My stomach is spinning in circles after eating here. I had the seafood combo with fried shrimp, fried fish, BBQ beef, and a side of macaroni salad. Both the beef and fish I'd give a 6.5/10. Serviceable, but not worth the price I paid. $18. And the shrimp? The texture when eating it was like those medicine tablets you took as a kid. It didn't melt in your mouth, it awkwardly dissolved; and tasted like nothing. Only adding a second star because other members of my family got stuff they thought was good. Even as I was starving for a meal after a long hike, the food here killed my appetite.

It's an order over the counter and pick up your food place. This is traditional homemade Hawaiian food. It is very good.

It's in a food court. The food was good tho the Kalbi was fatties than usual. One plate lunch is good enough to feed 2.easy takeaway if in the area.

This is not it! Taste nothing like L & L in California. The meats taste like unwashed grill and mixed flavors. Don't torture yourself.

$30 for these mini plates. Each plate have 4 pieces (bbq chicken & teriyaki steak) Customer service was sassy when I was asking if they can do ala carte on their bbq mix plates he said “uhh NO? ! ” Like he was offended. This reminds me why I don’t go here. I’m a local btw and I’ve had much better ala carte for a bigger sizing elsewhere, this is just ridiculous for the prize.idk why I even tipped. They need to teach their cashier better manners.

Food was 10/10, real taste of Hawaii bbq. The front lady was so nice and helpful and the food was even better. Definitely recommend

I should have turned around as soon as I walked in but thought it can’t be too horrible. I was wrong. It was the worst food I have ever tried to eat. I could not eat but a few bites. I would never return to this establishment. We had six in our party and all six were disgusted by the food. Live and learn.

Always love L&L. A must try if you’re on island! I always get Chicken Katsu and musubi.

Prices have increased.so be prepared to spend more than you'd expect for a plate lunch.

The food is not as good as it used to be. No sauces provided. The lau lau was tasty, as was the fish and macaroni salad, but the fried shrimp was dull, and the ribs were much too fatty.

Been to many L&L, Oahu, Kauai, California, Florida, and more. The Kukui Grove location has the worst customer service and purposely skipped over kids who ordered and paid and continued to call others food first. Nothing extra ordinary. SPAM Musubi and Chicken Katsu. Not a line of customers. The the freshest of food. Not sure why the service is so bad for a simple franchise.
