L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, Captain Cook HI

The service was absolutely terrible. The guy at the register was extremely rude for starters. The food I ordered was undercooked AND it wasn't even what I ordered. I asked for the Prime Rib special & they gave me a New York steak. Im a Chef. I know the difference. I go there out of convenience because its a block away and the service is always the same. I guess I just keep hoping they'd improve but nope. I DO NOT recommend this place in Kealakekua.

Food is so delicious. Great prices and workers were super nice. Outside sitting only or to go. Weather is always pretty nice so outside seating is fine. It's kind of hidden in the back of the parking lot, so look for the turn into the parking lot or you will miss it.

This place has really good Korean bbq food.it's one of my favorite places to eat. The fish is really good and also the salads.everything is tastey and the people are nice. Its a win win all around for a local korean bbq diner. Try it out.

The food they served was great. Definitely a place you should visit when you visit or when your around.

It's just a good drive in, that I can count on for real food where I walk away satisfied with whatever I ordered.

I had their Lau Lau & Kalua Pork dish, split it and shared other dishes with my family. Everything was delicious!

Good food at a good price. This location has outside seating and is a little hard to see from the road, but is worth stopping at for a filling meal.

We ordered two family dinner boxes which both included four meats and two sides. We got fried rice (a big hit) and macaroni salad (it was okay) for meats we got fried shrimp, pork, beef ribs, and chicken. I really l ok- ked the chicken. Other people preferred the other items. For 7 people it was plenty and the price was right but if you really want good food I would say to look for a different place.

Food was good and fast. Lots of options and extra dishes not on regular menu. Try the banana lumpia, really good!

We like the fact that there's a lot of options, so everyone in the family gets something they like. They have a lot of variety! I do however, wish they offered some sauce or seasoning to flavor the rice. We love rice, but this is plain and totally bland. It's ok.but could be great! For example, chili water is popular in Hawaii with lau lau, and it's amazing! But it could be anything like soy sauce or even dry seasoning packets. Everything else is flavorful and yummy!

Consistency in taste of food is good. You know what your going to get. Staff friendly. Fast service.

The chicken katsu Hawaiian bowl was very good and service was very quick. Good place for a fast, late meal.

Had the Spam Saimen noodles, and the Loco Moco. Great flavor, great texture. Well done, I would not hesitate to come back here. Mahalo!

Great place to eat they have everything. They cater to specific local foods. You must definitely will find what you need there. Must try.

L&L is always a familiar place that you know produces good local food at a very reasonable price!

Food is awesome I don't like the unfriendly service that I get from the male employees. There is one who works at the L&L in Captain Cook who is very disrespectful to female employees.

No consistency in there food. Ordered the same item 3 different times. Every time it tasted different. Now if I want L&Ls I drive to lanihau L&L. At least there I know how my food is gonna taste.

Really depends on what you order I think. Stick with the easy stuff that's hard to mess up like BBQ chicken or beef. The other stuff like stews, not so good. They could work on there customer service also.

The family meal was ample sized for 4-5 people and reasonably priced. A bit saucy overall but ok. Owner was reluctant to serve us water when requested - waved me away at first. After I stood at the service window for another 2 minutes, he finally relented. Sheesh!

Food wasn't great, I ordered mix plate with curry chicken katsu/roast pork. Pork very salty, chicken under cooked, just lost my appetite. I will never go back to this location. Very unsatisfied
