Longs Drugs, Honolulu HI

I am regularly followed by the store security for no reason at all. Other than what I’m beginning to think is a result of racial profiling. Interestingly, I’m born and raised in Honolulu. I’m from Kalihi Valley. I’ve never been arrested!
This past Friday, I was literally harassed by the Manager who despite my producing a receipt to confirm that I purchased my items while at the pharmacy along with my prescription; he proceeded to physically block my exit and grab my bag to look inside of it. When I lost my cool and questioned his behavior… he literally got into my face. There’s more… but bottom line is… this was the manager on duty who was not only acting unprofessionally but was utterly inappropriate in handling the situation! He told me he doesn’t care what I do because he’s getting ready to retire. I was genuinely shocked and hurt. I’m used to being discriminated against. I’m sure everyone has a story… but I’m tired of it!
I have filed a formal complaint with the corporate office pending further follow up. I refuse to be treated in this matter for no reason at all! I will pursue all possible remedies to ensure that this individual does not treat a single person in this way!

Visited at Longs Kam Shopping around 7-8pm and the line is so long. There’s only 2 registers opened and they have employees walking around.

Pretty standard Long's location. While employees are harder to find on the floor anymore, those that were there were very nice.

Visited the store this morning, had a negative encounter with the Store Manager. He ultimately asked me to leave the Store, instead asked him to 86 me we wouldn’t. Never used profanity during our discussion, then tells me to finish my shopping and leave.

This Manager is very condescending/pretentious with a chip on his shoulder and a defensive attitude like he’s above everyone. It’s no wonder reviews on various sites rate that store poorly. Time to Retire get a life.good start for you is try talking to Plants first!

The security guard is being mean to us. Cant even let us enjoy ourselves PERIODT. Cant even let us ride in the cart. Being bias about us tryna shop in the store and enjoy ourselves. This happened on February 16,2020 at 4pm at Kamehameha Shopping Center in Oahu.

Longs is like a one stop shopping. They have everything you need. I can pick up whatever I need pay and done. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Longs Drugs is your one stop store. They have mostly everything you need. The employees are friendly and helpful. If you cannot find something just ask they will tell you where it is or if it's sold out. Make Longs a part of your day. I do. The thing that upsets me is mostly every time I go for a sale item on Monday they say either sold out or never come in. How can be sold out in one day and they should make sure all sale items come in on time. That's good customer service.
