Makiki District Park reviews
22Nice place to relax and enjoy nature. Clean bathroom cause God knows after distressing at a park makes you wanna pee lol!
Great local community park it's large enough that multiple sports can be played at once. Has a swing set for kids to play on plus gardens that always nice to stroll through. There's a community pool with some odd hours.
Open area not busy like other park. They have a community garden plenty parking cleaner than usual bathrooms. Lots of activities
This is one of my favorite places to come and play tennis with my friends. It doesn't get way too busy and the people who come and play are friendly
4 courts lighted til 10 pm, alot of double’s play, USTA steals tuesday and thursday evenings, make money off public courts, another guy named chang steals court 4 and 3 for his little academy, been doing 6 days a week for a minimum two years. I don’t play there much anymore, moved away.
This place is a great place for kids to run around and play, not only that but also there is a jungle gym that kids can play on so I do recommend this park to anybody looking for good safe place for your children to play!
Theirs no homeless encampment s their you can sit and have a lite lunch or snack BEFOR continuing with your journey
Its chill if you like to relax lots of green grass wind flowing in the trees sitting in the shade. Ahhhh.theres also a playground for children
Nice size, large community garden, big pool, skate park, basketball, tennis, playground and so on. I'd give it a 5 overall but it can be a bit shady at night with the various addicts and night owls.
Filthy, stink and to much micronesians. Day time on the field is alright if theirs A lot of people but don't go after dark alone
Has s community garden and library. Playground is okay, usually pretty busy. Can be a sketchy place, ppl have been assaulted there, drugs are sold.:/
Great place to hangout. There is a pool and a great big grassy area. Soccer games sometimes going on. The library is right there.
Nice park, was there for i9 soccer. Good shade by trees, cute little play structure, convenient bathroom but water fountains do not work and the ground retains more water than expected
I like it because they have so many facilities in there. Swimming pool, skate board court.big pakking lots. They have garden for the residents whose they're like growing their own plants and that is my favorite places to visit. Happy to be there.
Green grass, white clouds, blue sky, people walking, talking, running, sitting, kids soccer, frisby throwing, swimming pool hours. That's what it means to, me.
Good place to walk around or meet. There might be a garden in the area and it's next to the Kam hwy. Other than that, it's an okay park.
We see our friend and associate who was recently elected to The Neighborhood Board, Board Member Paul Klink their almost every day cleaning up graffiti, working to remove houseless people to places they can get their entitlements as well as helping the staff to make it a safe, secure and fun meeting place for the lower Makiki community.
Great place for families (lots of kids). Enjoying adult Ceramics class (wonderful teacher!) Love that there is also a Community Garden. Staff is kind & courteous. Pool & tennis court available. (Would like more parking).
If you get a chance check out the Maliki Community Gardens. They are the oldest community garden in Hawaii.
