Wonderful dinner with lovely ocean view. Willing to adjust menu slightly for our tastes. Try the monchong or the Balinese stir fry.

We loved Mala so much we went back 3 times on our visit to Maui! If you like to dine and drink with a view.this is your place. Also, the coconut shrimp is delicious.

Amazing location, excellent food. Expensive - we spent around $100.00 for brunch (3 people), but worth it!

So much deliciousness! I accidentally stumbled upon this place before they closed up for the night, looking for another place. I'm so happy that I ate here because it was simply delightful. The food was so fresh, the fist was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were perfect. This is place as seating indoors and overlooking the ocean.perfect for sunsets!

Such a great experience! The service was good, food was great and looked amazing. View is hard to beat as well. Was in Maui for our honeymoon and we were disappointed at a few other seafood restaurants we went to, but we were very impressed by Mala. Would go here again in a heartbeat! Highly recommended

Upscale waterfront brunch. The lamb sausage patties are amazing. Friendly staff. Limited bar menu but top notch food. I had huevos rancheros one day and eggs with sausage the next. Prices are a little higher than other places but the food quality and the view justify it.

Recommended by the locals, this is the place where the person sitting next to you is probably a neighbor just up the street and around the corner. For me a cut above the high rises is a friend in low places. Aloha!

Excellent lunch and dinner. Mediterranean and Asian influences matched to local fish and food. Not a cheap eat, and close quarters in the dining areas, but the view, staff and food are what you are coming for. Complementary valet is available for dinner service. Reservations are essential for dinner service.

Our favorite place to have a celebration of a special event. Anniversary or a birthday. Food is fantastic staff is amazing.

I spent a week exploring the many different restaurants around the island, and this was definitely our favorite. My wife and I agreed that it was better than Mama's Fish House!

We'll absolutely return the next time we're in town!

The place was great, the service was nice, the food was great, especially for the price, and the view, well, it's Maui. The turtles were eating algae in the water on the rocks next to us. Can't ask for better dining guests right?

Celebrated mom’s 84th at Mark Ellman’s Mala Ocean Taveran. Was greeted by a very warm and friendly Hostess. Mr. Ellman was the perfect host who took the time to say hello. Every dish was a delightful blance of skillfull presentation and delicate east meets west flavors.
Each dessert was a unique blend of rich creams garnished with seasonal fruit.
Mahalo Mr. Ellman for an unforgettable first time experience for me and a very special 84th birthday for my mom!

Favorite place, all categories. The staff is great and very service minded. One of three family owned restaurants well worth visiting when in the area. Reservation is recommended and state that you wish to have an outdoor table for the sunset (around 7pm).

I enjoyed the Ahi Sushime. And the service was very good. However, be prepared for a very rustic environment.

Watered down cocktail, ice cream on kids menu not served, food just not interesting and overpriced.

An absolutely beautiful dining area as close to the ocean as you can get. The hostess was about to seat us at a table in the patio but it was high tide and large waves would occasionally splash onto the seats! We moved a few tables up and watched turtles swimming in the ocean the rest of the meal. Great location!

Late light lunch. Good value. Love the ambience there. Usually see turtles on the rocky shoreline feeding.
