Manta Ray Dives of Hawai‘i, Kailua-Kona HI

Carl and Holly did a great job. Their banter back-and-forth made the ride out to the site fun. Holly did a great job teaching us about the Manta Rays, and then the two if them getting us suited up and in the water. We had one Manta that just seemed trained. I know that’s not possible but boy did she put a show on, gliding below and multiple rolls up and into the light platform over and over. It was an awesome experience.

At Manta Ray Dives of Hawaii, the whole operation was very professional, seamless and the experience was comfortable, fun and exciting. Brooks, Carol and Kaitlin are amazing - thorough, quick and attentive. Brooks' sense of humor kept us entertained before during and after the dive. This crew really caters to the guests, setting everything up so we can sit back and enjoy with no stress. Highly recommend this experience without reservation.

Absolutely amazing experience. From the crew to the Manta’s my wife and I enjoyed every minute of it. We got lucky and saw a sea turtle, 4 Manta’s, and monk seals! On top of all of that got to watch an amazing sunset. 10/10 would recommend.

Our family of five dove with them tonight. When we got back to our rental one of our kids said “if I never dive again I will have gotten to do the best dive ever! ” We all feel that way! The team on the boat was helpful from the moment we arrived - BIG THANKS TO Keni, Holly, Carolyn and captain Carl. The equipment was in good condition and clean. The instruction was thorough, and everyone was friendly! The experience itself was second to none! Yes, we did see the manta rays which was obviously the goal, but, really even if we hadn’t seen the rays tonight, the dive itself was so cool. We saw lots of fish, shrimp, crabs, box fish, puffer fish… So much to look at and then you throw in a few gigantic manta rays doing their thing… Well, it was simply magical. We definitely would recommend! Oh and the sunset!

So dynamite! Our dive masters, Mary and Keni were so awesome. They explained everything in detail. They made it very comfortable. It was such an interesting dive. I would totally recommend this company.

If I could give them 10 stars I would! Captain Dave and Ron were amazing on our night snorkel with Manta Rays. They were very informative, funny, helpful and the leader in the bay other companies looked to and worked with so everyone had a great experience and could see these gentle giants up close and safely for humans and manta. A wonderful way to celebrate my sons Highschool graduation as a family.

I highly recommend this unique and beautiful experience. Caution to those with a sensitive stomach, the ocean can be rough & some people get sea sick. This experience is unlike anything else, you feel like you're on another planet. The manta rays get right up in your face & they are harmless. We were extremely lucky that there were many manta rays out on the day we went! Truly a great experience with kind and caring employees. Next time I would prefer the scuba dive experience but the snorkeling is awesome too, the rays will get close to you regardless.

Did the snorkeling only option with them. Pretty neat experience overall. Saw a manta ray come towards the surface to meet the snorkelers, which is pretty good result. Probability for a better encounter would be scuba diving.

A Night of Wonder. 15+ Manta Rays of various sizes circled, danced and did loop de looped with a foot of our faces. Tim, Carly (they all have names, wingspans of 7 to 15 feet, Nf beautiful markings) entranced is as they fed on the plankton attracted by our team‘s blue lights. It went on for over an hour although it felt like just a few minutes. Thanks to the Manta Ray Dive boat team for making this once in a lifetime experience so enjoyable. Our crew made all feel safe and secure in the twilight and night off Kona. Great time!

Stellar experience with this team. Our snorkel session started off slow, but we were soon surrounded by about 15 beautiful Manta Rays. The staff all had a great sense of humour and Holly did a great job educating everyone about Mantas. Highly recommended.

Loved diving with this group! Four of us went, two of us were non-certified divers and they were very patient, coached us through the whole process, and made us feel safe. The other two were certified and had a blast as well. The boat also had a bunch of snacks and drinks for us on top of a provided lunch.

This company is awesome! Crews are very nice and funny and helpful. We saw many manta rays last night. They just kept coming and coming and rolling and got so close to us! It was just amazing! Highly recommend to go with Manta Ray!

Our Manta Ray snorkel was the highlight of our trip! Captain Carl and Ron were awesome! Ron made sure everyone was having a great time in the water! We had a big group with 2 young kids and 2 teens. We saw three manta. They spent quite a bit of time at our board showing off for us!

Fantastic time! The crew helped us to feel comfortable with the process from beginning to end. The mantas were incredible, and the guides’ enthusiasm was contagious. The magic of having mantas inches from you was irreplaceable. We noticed a difference in that we were better prepared for the process than the customers of other companies at our same location. Absolutely fantastic. Brooks and Cory (?) were great. We had our girls who are 9 and 12 with us and they loved it. Felt safe, the crew took care of us and I would totally recommend doing this! Saw at least 15 manta rays!

This was such an amazing experience! I brought my 7 year old son while we were on vacation here. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable. They also let my son drive the boat which he was extremely excited about! The manta rays also came up extremely close to my kiddo and he hasn’t stopped talking about it since we got back! We saw quite a few different manta rays also which was neat. HIGHLY recommend! A must do!

Phenomenal experience! Guides were friendly and informative. Operation was incredibly organized and run very well. Our particular snorkel was just magnificent. At one point we had a dozen manta rays under our float with many of them doing barrel rolls inches from us. I highly recommend the experience and Manta Ray Dives.

This company does several different guided tours, I personally did the snorkel night trip with the manta rays. This was absolutely breathtaking. Not only did the staff make sure that everybody felt safe and taking care of, but they were so informed about each and every ray that came across us. These guys really take care of and care about the wildlife that they are helping you experience. I would fly back here from the mainland again just to do this trip. I can't wait to experience another of their guided tours! Brooks & Ron were amazing! Mahalo

We did two morning dives and a night dive with mantas - all of them were amazing! The team took great care of us both on the boat and underwater. We felt very comfortable and safe, definitely recommended.
