Manuela Malasada Co reviews
14The best malasadas in Hawaii. They make it fresh when you order. The bread is super soft and fresh. I had the cheesecake specials (mango, guava, strawberry). The cheesecake part didn't taste like cheesecake, but the jams were fantastic. I would recommend just getting the jams without the cheesecake. The mango was the best.
Very very delicious malasadas. The Ube Cheesecake malasada was so perfectly warm and chewy, and the texture was perfect. I honestly can’t think of any better treat.
It is sold at food carts on the roadside of the lava plateau. Malasadas are delicious. Service is average. There is a parking space where you can park freely on the roadside.
Fried bread with sugar and cream filling. Too much dough inside. Churro at Costco taste better.
Just tastes like flour. 3 pieces were $10,6 pieces were $15, and 12 pieces were $22, so I bought 6, but I ate one and didn't eat it.
I paid 15 dollars and was lazy to get change, so I bought a 4 dollar smoothie, but it turned out to be really worthless. Don't go there
Overrated imho. I got the plain ones with cinnamon sugar. Nothing special. May be better with filling. The girls behind the window were nice and friendly.
Oh my! Best malasadas on the island as far as I'm concerned!
We ordered guava, raspberry, and peanut butter & chocolate malasadas!
The customer service was outstanding! What wonderful people! Thank you for a delicious experience, see you next year!
Amazeballs deliciousness. Worth the (reasonable) wait and the price. Had ube cheesecake, caramel, Nutella, peanut butter and peanut butter and chocolate over the course of our time in Hawaii. All mouth watering. Can’t wait to come back.
So happy to have spotted this truck on my way to Mahukona and was not disappointed! Completely forgot to take photos before I inhale my donut.
Wow, what a breakfast! We got malasadas on our recent trip to the big island and they were amazing. Try the sweet and sour sugar dusting with just about anything. We liked coconut, guava, and pineapple, yum!
This place was incredibly mid. Not only did they charge for a drink and ended up telling us they didn’t have that drink AFTER they gave us our order, but the malasadas themselves were awful. The haupia filled malasada was undercooked, and the filling itself had a disturbing artificial/chemical taste. I got sick after eating it that we even had to cancel the luau on our last night. Would not recommend this place. I wish there was a Leonards bakery on the big island. If you’re ever in Oahu, that’s the place to go for fresh and thoroughly cooked malasadas.
The malasadas are quite greasy and it takes them quite a while to make them. It is just off the highway in a dirt lot, so not special. They do have some wild combinations like PB and J, and they were good, but as I said, very greasy.
They say that shoes are delicious when fried ㅠㅠ They taste just like flour~~~ I feel sorry for my sincerity in coming all the way here. The staff was very friendly.
Their made to order ube cheesecake malasadas are The lady who took our order was super kind and friendly. Make sure you get enough cash since it’s cash-only!
