This was my worst staycation! Their COVID high standards of cleanliness commitment is a joke. You better clean and sanitize the room yourself because they don't even pay much attention cleaning the room. The body lotion they provided was clearly used by previous guest and never got changed out, God knows what else they didn't change? Didn't even bother to have housekeeping for my 3 nights stay, might bring in more virus and germs if we do. My son is healthy and never got sick for couple years, but after 2nd nights here, he got sick, good thing he recovered after one week, but be careful people. Oh, and don't even bother to do their survey, because no one reads it.

I'd like to come back and read it after covid restrictions are over. Having to make reservations for pools, pool chairs, and the beach was a bit limiting. Finding a parking space in the garage after returning to the hotel each evening was also more of a challenge than one would expect.

Loved it! Perfect for families with young kids. The family pool was lots of fun with a cave and waterfalls. Our 6 year old loved the water slide (so did we!), if only they had a smaller slide that our 4 year old could have used. The beach was great, the grounds were beautiful. I highly recommend this resort.

We had an amazing experience here. We stayed for a full week and loved every minute of it. There is plenty of space to play at either the pool or the beach. They had very friendly staff that catered to our every whim and need.

Some of the ups:
•Tons of pool space for anything from hot tubs to slides.
•Private beach with plenty of space as well.
•About 10 minutes from Costco which makes buying a weeks worth of food much easier.
•This south side of the island doesn’t usually get hit hard with rain. The north shore was experiencing flash floods but our resort was seemingly untouched, sunny and warm every day.
•Had a high quality fitness center with a robust selection of equipment (even a peloton for you peloton lovers out there).
•Units have a washer and dryer as well as a full size kitchen (if you choose to pay the extra price for one of these units. If you rent a smaller unit it may not be included).
•Nice shopping center nearby with several restaurants and a small grocery store.

The downs:
•Internet was certainly slow, we just ended up using phone data for most things, which may be a problem if you don’t have unlimited data
•You had to reserve a time to go to the pool because of COVID (although we never did and never got in trouble while swimming there).
•Parking spaces were small and if you aren’t an owner in the resort or book through an owner, you may have to pay upwards of $40 daily for parking.
•The on site restaurants/bar is very expensive (which was expected), for example, their gourmet burger is $25.
•If you want to surf, the best surfing is on the north shore, which means you’ll be looking at about a 40 minute car ride to get to a surfing beach.

The bottom line:
If you are looking for a fantastic place to stay and want to have a better chance of escaping the rain, this is a great option, especially if you are going with a full family. The rates are very steep if you are not booking as an owner, so if you are cost averse you may want to consider something a little more wallet friendly. If you end up going here you will feel like royalty. With the private beach, luxury amenities, and friendly staff you won’t be disappointed. Just make sure you plan out your other expenses before coming and this place is sure to deliver a great experience.

First off I am a Marriott owner, and have never given a bad review and have loved everyplace I have stayed. This place is beautiful, but the service is deceiving. They are at 97% occupancy, so they should be fully staffed, maybe they are. Today is a Monday and we got down to get pool and beach towels at 10: 15. Nada. Checked back 3 times over the next 3 hours. Nada. Many guests have been upset today. Their market place they have 1 staff member on a register. Yes 1. So guess what, if you need a coke, a coffee, a float, a candy bar, you will be in line a minimum of 30 minutes. The pools, you must make a reservation to even use them. Good luck with that. You have to text a pool and time slot only to be told it isn't available. As an owner this is absurd that I cannot get in the pool when I want. The beach is an option, but guess what, you can't even take your own umbrella, but you can reserve one if one is available. Good luck with that. Want a mixed drink or lunch, go stand in the long line at Longboards. Even if you just want a drink you have to wait at least 30 minutes. They have an outside window, but hey why open it when they are only at 97% occupancy? I had to drive myself down the street to a village store to BUY beach towels, and purchase lunch. I get all of that and was back in less than 30 minutes. Still frustrating that I had to leave the property. Needless to say, I was interested in purchasing a unit but no way. No way I would be an owner for this particular property, and no way I would ever stay here again. We have been here 2 days and regret it. Wish now we would have booked at the Disney resort next door where I would doubt you would have these issues. Far better places to stay and be spoiled. Not here!

Only rating guest services that’s why I gave it 2 stars. Every person I talked to at the desk was rude even small little request seemed to be frustrating and a hassle for them. Pbly not going to ever stay at another Marriot again. Bad experience with Ko Olina and the Maui resort. Can’t be a coincidence.better guest service experience needed for sure at these resorts.

Rooms are beautiful and the pools and amenities of the complex are really cool. The one downside we've had is the internet here is absolutely terrible. If you're planning on streaming some movies or anything, tough luck. It's basically dail-up speed. Other than that though, nice vacation spot!

I can only give three stars based on the grounds and restaurant. I didn’t stay here but from my experience on the outside it was beautiful.

3 pools, well organized for social distancing. Good food at Long Boards and Longhi's. Let's get back to having some fun.

The absolute best! The room was spacious and very comfortable. The agent checking us in was very knowledgeable. The service staff were very accommodating. Would go there ever year.

Great place BUT! Very big minus is their dumb smoking area is in the WRONG LOCATION! Now imagine the ramp for strollers or wheelchairs, not only is hot outside, and you don’t want to smell anything gross, but both main candidates who use the ramp (in wheelchairs people with underlying health issues or babies!) shouldn’t be anywhere near smokers terrible terrible.

Marriott I really hope you can move “smoke area” far from general public.

People die not only from smoking but from 2nd hand smoker, not only from corona. Do something about it ASAP!

I love the location right on the beach without all the crowds of Waikiki. I have stayed at Waikiki and didn’t like that it didn’t feel like Hawaii. Here you are able to take walk at night and feel safe and if you want to venture into Waikiki or the north shore it’s only a short drive away. Highly recommend

The peace became a full mess from the Paradise it was before. They use COVID as an excuse to reduce staff and provide bad service.

All of the restaurants are closed most of the time. There is no room service. You have to drive (yes, make sure to have a car) to buy food in the nearby village. And no, there will be no space nor reservations available in the village.

There is a store at the hotel, but they run out of food pretty quickly and no resupply for a week.

To get you the pool and to the beach you need to get a reservation! Can you imagine - reservation for the beach!

Rooms are not being cleaned.

Staff is not friendly as if they are making you a favor.

Won't come back.
