Most excellent resort and location! I’m an owner so this review comes from that perspective. I booked a three week stay so was expecting a long, relaxing get away and I got it.

Parking at first was a bit confusing. They let me park at the Valet desk to check-in which was easy, but then not clearly directed to the actual self-parking gate. However, you do it once and then you get it.

Check-in was nice and easy. Got a nice overview of the property and activities. I got there late so I needed some provisions so I visited the insight market for two bottled waters and a soft drink. Very expensive, but very convenient.

The hallway had an interesting smell. I think because the hotel is an open plan they have trouble keeping the hallways dry and clean. The hotel room was absolutely gorgeous! I had an Island View so I looked out at a courtyard and Cabanas on the beach.

The location was great. Nestled in with other resorts there was everything you need within walking distance. I rented a car, but I would say if your planning on staying near the resort you could Uber or walk to wherever you need.

Overall, a great stay and probably the most relaxing time I’ve had in a long time.

We recently stayed at the Marriott Waikoloa and had a great time. We had a wonderful Na Hale King Oceanfront room. The view of the nightly sunsets was amazing. The room itself was a little odd. The bed, shower, and closet were great. But there seemed to be something missing. The room was massive but there was no seating or a table for some reason. On each side of the bed there was 8’ of open space! The AC worked great which was a plus. Overall, the property was nice but it does truly fall short when compared to other options on the island. A few short miles up the beach and you have a Westin and Luxury Collection property on better bays. There was no real beach set up at the Marriott although there was a nice beach. The Hilton has a lot of food and shopping available and the Marriott had one restaurant and one shop total. The staff was super friendly when I engaged with them. We plan on returning to Hawai’i soon but we will try another property out.

Love the location of this resort. The grounds are beautiful. Unfortunately the room smelled sour. The bed linens and towels were very sour smelling and gave me a headache. The first night we had to strip our beds wash the linens in order to get a good night sleep. We also washed the towels. We had to call for maintenance to fix the telephones, dishwasher and a toilet which had a tank that wouldn’t fill with water. The last 2 nights of our stay we were kept awake with construction work being done in a kitchen next to our room. The last night we had to call twice after midnight demanding the hammering to stop so we could sleep. The front desk wanted to move us…. Seriously, after midnight? I was never able to go to sleep because although the hammering stopped there was still noise of work going on. Needless to say this is the first and last time staying at this resort. Very disappointed with Marriott management at this location to allow such a disruption all night long.

Stayed in a 1bedroom suite with island view and absolutely loved it. Fantastic room, nice view, great kitchen, couch, and dining room table. The bed was comfortable, sheets were nice and bathroom was a wonderful walk in. I only wish I could have stayed longer than one night to enjoy the amenities. Breakfast buffet was pretty good too!
