Great experience learning about processing alpaca fiber. Great environment and wonderful instructor. Alpacas in angora rabbits were amazing. Highly recommend this activity. Dyan Thompson

Amazing place! Can't wait to go again! If you love animals, getting some Alpaca love is a unique experience. I chose Maui Alpaca Farm for my birthday adventure this year. Would do it again. Maybe even an annual tradition.

We loved this experience so much! Our guide was so nice and informative. The alpacas and bunnies were very sweet and fun to interact with. Plus the owner showed up at the end of our tour and took us to see some new baby alpacas they just got (separated from the others). You can tell they really enjoy sharing their farm with people, and I’d happily go back and share that experience with them again. Highly recommend!

What more could you expect? The sweetest Alpaca's, the softest bunnies, this was one incredible experience! From start to finish we had a blast, and the kids couldn't stop smiling. We learned a ton about the process of grooming the animals and turning that groomed fur into yarn, even got to try it out! It was awesome! You should definitely check it out if you're on Maui!

We had a great family experience and our host was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the bunnies and alpacas, especially my husband who has an interest raising alpacas after we retire.

For our daughter, it was the highlight of our visit to Maui and is sure to be one of her lasting memories of the island.

It was a wonderful time and well worth the drive from Lahaina.

We had the best time at the Alpaca farm! The Alpaca’s were so friendly, and it was a great place to take my two year old. Our guide Erin was so kind and we learned so many cool facts about Alpaca’s. Can’t wait to visit again.

We got to feed some alpacas and take pictures with them. Afterwards, we learned how alpaca fiber is processed and got to pet some Angora rabbits. Highly recommend if you love alpacas and rabbits

Great tour for both adults and kids. Our tour guide Amber was very knowledgeable and we learned so much information about alpacas. We never felt rushed and everyone left stating that they had a great time.

It's hard to give this 3 stars, but it is simply overpriced. Our kids enjoyed the alpacas and our tour guide was super nice. Our family spent $300 to basically stand in an alpaca pin for 45 minutes and feed them a little food. Once we were done with that we got to pet some rabbits for a bit. Our rating has nothing to do with our guide (again, very sweet person) or the Alpacas (very cute), it's just overpriced.

What a unique experience visiting Maui Alpaca! Our hostess, Erin, was great. She offered fun facts about the alpaca breed in general and some specific traits of the animals we met in particular. We got to feed them, take pictures and learned how to “process” their fur to be spun into various articles. The angora bunnies were so sweet and allowed us to give them some love. If you’re an animal lover, this outing is a definite must?

$80 an hour is high even by Maui standards. Not worth the price of admission. Definitely not a $60 lunch add on either.sandwich and chips, basically. All around, money is better spent elsewhere.

Had the most amazing time on the Maui Alpaca Paniolo Picnic and would very highly recommend visiting if you have the chance! We had an absolute blast! First we had a really delicious picnic lunch - before meeting the most lovely gentle Alpaca’s and Angora Bunny Rabbits. This tour is great for all ages - our Tour guide Erin was fantastic with a great knowledge of the animals. We also really enjoyed learning how to spin alpaca / bunny fibre into yarn.

This was such a great experience I could not recommend this tour highly enough - I would definitely come back again!

Many thanks to Janet and Erin for such a wonderful day!

Best,
Stuart and Cliodhna

Our family had a wonderful time at Maui Alpaca! The alpacas and bunnies were sweet and interactive - our kids loved the experience of feeding and petting them. Erin was a wonderful guide: knowledgeable, patient and kind with the kids as she taught them about the alpacas and bunnies, answered questions, and demonstrated how to pick, card and spin the wool. The tour itself was super personal and each person got to interact and take photos. The gift shop had a nice assortment of knitted items and finished skeins of yarn made from the alpacas. Janet was also a lovely host who came to greet us and see us off - what a beautiful farm and setting in Maui! Thank you so much.

The farm experience was awesome! I learned a lot about alpacas and angora rabbits. I wish they have more activities tho. Rebecca is so patient and answered all of our questions especially we have our little niece and nephew with us. Will definitely come back to see the cute alpacas and rabbits.

My wife and I booked an afternoon farm visit tour in April 2023. The directions provided to get to the farm were easy to follow. Our friendly guide Amber greeted us and we got to talking as we waited for another group to arrive for the tour. The other group never showed up and so we ended up with a "private" tour of the farm! Amber clearly loves what she does and offered information about the farm and the animals in easy to understand detail. We spent time with the Angora rabbits which were very cute. The highlight of the tour was interacting with the alpacas! We entered their pen and fed them special feed from stainless steel bowls and while they occasionally "spit" at one another while jockeying for position at the bowls they were calm and very beautiful, with big dark eyes and long eyelashes. Some were calm enough to allow us to pet their necks and backs and we never felt uneasy around them. After feeding the alpacas, Amber demonstrated to us how the alpaca wool is cleaned and then she instructed us on how to spin the cleaned wool into yarn on a old-fashioned wooden, pedal-powered spinning wheel. The gift shop is well-stocked with items for all ages and we gladly purchased mementos of our visit. The friendly farm owner, Janet, stopped by to say hi. We live in Honolulu on Oahu and get away from the big city via weekend getaways to a friend's Upcountry Maui bed-n-breakfast 3-4 times a year, and we'll definitely be back to see Janet, Amber and the alpacas. Please don't forget to tip Amber for a job well done!

Highly, HIGHLY recommend doing a tour up here during your stay. We did a 4pm tour and it was such a lovely way to end our day. Absolutely serene surroundings wonderfully calm walk with beautiful animals. Our guide was great and we learned so much and had such a great time! Holding the bunnies was certainly a highlight. 100% worth the trip.

Erin was absolutely amazing and made the experience so much fun. The alpacas were fun to feed and the different types and personalities made it interesting to meet them all. My wife getting to hold one of the bunnies was here favorite part and I like getting to see how to manually stretch and spin the fur after meeting the animals. It was the best part of our day for sure.

We are longtime fans of alpacas! The alpacas at this farm are very friendly and engaged with visitors (not always the case with alpacas, which can be timid around people). One of the girls even decided to lay down next to us for extra attention and petting!

Erin was such a lovely guide and let us spend SO much time with both the alpaca herd and the sweet little angora bunnies. She also taught us so many things about alpacas & bunnies and took the time to answer all of our questions. We are excited to come back again someday soon!?

I had heard tales of strange fuzzy creatures living upcountry in Maui so on a rainy day we decided to seek them out. A wonderful young woman named Padma greeted us as we pulled in and began the tour immediately. We got to feed the Alpacas, hold the Angora rabbits, watch how they transformed the "fiber" (fur) into yarn and saw their cool handmade products.
We will never forget, being it was February, that we told Padma we had gone whale watching and she said, "it's whale soup out there". We laughed and now my wife and I use that term all the time.
We had lunch in nearby Makawao and made a day of it. Fun!
