My family and I recently spent the morning on a kayak adventure with our guide Mollie and it was a fabulous experience. We learned so much and were able to get up close to many whales and it was absolutely thrilling! Mollie was the perfect balance of fun, friendly, smart and safety-conscious…. All of which we very much appreciated. Definitely recommend Mollie and this company for your kayak adventure.

Curtis of Maui Kayak Adventures was a true professional. He was so knowledgeable not just about ocean life but also about Maui culture, things to do, places to eat, etc. He was very kind, funny and just wonderful to spend the morning with. Our morning was perfect…We saw dolphins (from an appropriate distance), a sea turtle, which he tried really hard to find for us:) and a ton of fish and at two eels. He asked us what our goal of the day was at the onset…which struck me as being really client centered, a hallmark of a good organization no matter the sector. Another plus for us is that this company and Curt are extremely mindful of the environment and protecting and conserving it! Really wonderful to see and hear:). Highly recommend Maui Kayak Ad.and Curtis specifically.

Great snorkeling trip! One of the best I’ve been on because it’s a small group (there were 6 of us) and the guide is in the water with you pointing things out. And he takes a lot of pictures too, so you don’t have to worry about doing it yourself. Curtis was an amazing guide. Even gave me his hat because he saw I was struggling with the bright sun. (Don’t forget a hat and sunglasses.)

Our guide Kevin did an amazing job not only with finding a great place to snorkel, but also with giving some background about Hawaiian culture and information relevant to the local sea life we could expect to see. It was awesome to hear about how Maui Kayak Adventures gives back to the community in addition to providing a great kayaking experience.

We had an amazing adventure that started at Makenna landing. Curtis was a very knowledgeable guide. Our group was grateful to have him point out some cool sea life and take us to some great spots on the kayaks.

Oliver was a great guide! The kayak/ snorkel tour was a great time. Swimming with sea turtles and tropical fish was very relaxing. Would definitely recommend this tour!

This was my second kayak snorkel trip with Curtis and my third with the company. Although I have been snorkeling and kayaking many times there was a couple who had not and he was so helpful to them. The groups are fairly small. Curtis, our guide, was so knowledgeable about the area and marine life. The same day of the tour we received the photos he took along with answers to any questions from places to go on the island and other islands, Hawaiian words and restaurants. I would highly recommend this tour.

What a fantastic morning on and in the water with Curtis. He was super knowledgeable and fun and funny. All the setup was done before we got there so all we had to do was enjoy ourselves. While we swam, he got some awesome pictures of us with sea life as a background and have us access to all the pictures he took during our day. No extra cost, just a great time.

We had a great time kayaking and snorkeling in west Maui. This was the one activity that my wife insisted on doing while we vacationed and I’m glad she did.

Kevin was an amazing guide and even allowed us to get in more kayaking along with the snorkeling. We were able to see plenty of fish while snorkeling and we also saw three turtles! A truly amazing experience. It was so great to be able to focus on the kayaking and snorkeling because we knew that Kevin was taking the photographs.

There were single and double kayaks available and all of the necessary gear was included. Kevin even had cold water available for us during the trip.

Had an amazing time. Kevin was great guide and lots of energy. Gave us a run down of what we’ll see and got us safely out to our snorkel spot and back on shore. Also did an amazing job taking pictures of turtles and getting pics of everyone in the group.

Our tour guide, Kevin, was absolutely wonderful, and the tour itself was an incredible experience. Kevin taught us a bit about the Hawaiian language, and about Maui sea life, then he took us out to the water to witness it for ourselves. He was kind, patient, and very obviously passionate about what he does. I would recommend this experience to anyone and everyone looking to get acquainted with the reefs off the shores of Maui.

Kevin also took tons of photos of everyone in our group, as well as the sea life we saw during our time out on the water, and shared it with everyone the afternoon after our tour. That was the icing on the cake!

Where do I start? From start to finish our guide Zeke was phenomenal. From safety precautions with covid to safety of kayaking and being aware of our surroundings, did an amazing job. He knew exactly where to go to see the turtles and colorful fish. He ran with our jokes, had a plethora of information on the marine life as well as local hot spots to try on your own. You could tell he truly cares about the island and all around great dude. We'll be back for sure, hopefully scuba certified next!

We had the best time with Oliver H from Maui Kayak Adventures! He was so fun, informative, and made the kayak & snorkel something we will always remember. We got to see so many cool fish, sea turtle, and even an octopus! Oliver made sure we didn’t miss a thing and had the best morning on the water. Not to mention it was a small intimate group outing so it made the experience all the more enjoyable and relaxing. Highly recommend everyone book with them!

Highly recommend! We saw so many turtles and beautiful fish. Our guide, Curtis, was knowledgeable and very helpful. My daughter said it was the best thing we did on our nearly two week vacation in both Kauai and Maui! Responsible company and we had a small group. Definitely a highlight.

My husband and I travelled to Maui for our honeymoon and we stayed in Khei for a portion of our trip. We signed up for the kayak snorkel tour through Hawaiian paddle company and it was amazing! We left from the Makena Park Landing area and we were able to see 1 turtle from our kayak and two turtles while we were snorkelling in the water, they were beautiful! We also got to see lots of beautiful fish and a small octopus! Our guide Curtis was friendly, informative and made us feel comfortable and safe! He was very knowledgeable about the reef and all the different types of marine life and was able to teach us about some of the Hawaiian culture. He also took lots of beautiful underwater photos of us with the turtles and all the marine life we saw which we received via email after the tour! I would definitely recommend this tour and this guide and would go again!

Our family of 6 had an awesome time on the kayak/snorkeling tour. We were split into 3 tandem kayaks. Our guide Oliver was AWESOME! He was very personable and knowledgeable. He made sure we were all having fun. We communicated we wanted to see turtles. And We got to see many turtles. The water was clear so we got to see so much. Oliver took some awesome pictures and shared them with us so no need to bring a camera. His photos definitely came out better than mine. Totally recommend taking this tour.

I’ve been on a lot of snorkeling tours and Maui Kayak Adventures stands out. Our guide, Mikaela, created a personal experience. She first talked a little about the Hawaiian culture and language which was really interesting. Mikaela helped us get in and out the water with ease. The reef was amazing! There are turtle cleaning stations where we saw 4 turtles hanging out with little feeder fish cleaning them. Mikaela swam with us so we knew where to go. She also took pictures of us under water. The pictures were free and a really nice momento of our trip. The equipment worked well with no issues. My teenage children had the best time. The kayaking was smooth and relaxing. It was a perfect day and I highly recommend this company, and especially Mikaela. She really cares about about people and the environment and it it shows.

My wife and I had a great time with Sam as our guide. Despite getting a bit sea sick we still had a great time as beginner snokelers. Sam provided all the tips and instructions you'd need to get going. If you're feeling up to it, he'll even give you tips on diving without a life vest on. I'd recommend it.tough, but way more fun!

Kayaking and snorkeling aside, Sam provided a history lesson of Hawaii. This was a bonus and made our time in Maui much more meaningful.

Pro tip: Make sure you stop by for a pie (or 3.) at Leoda's Pie Shop nearby after the tour is over.

Super fun experience kayaking and snorkeling. We saw tons of wildlife including 6-7 sea turtles. Our guide, Mikaela, was professional and personable. And she skillfully helped inexperienced members of our group.

Sam was a great tour guide, and this was overall a very memorable experience. Got to see the reefs & sea creatures up close while learning about what was sacred to the native islanders. Would recommend to anyone!
