Amazing experience, great people, warm environment. Took two surf lessons with Coach Todd, and he's absolutely wonderful! Amazing coaching, great encouragement, and really knowledgable about everything! Overall, if you want to take some great surf classes, or just meet some great people, this place won't disappoint you!

We had an amazing tutor (Todd). We were on the board and surfing to shore within the 3rd try! Must try when visiting Hawaii! Especially if you’re learning to surf!

Amazing crew in store and on the water. Great lessons and attitude towards customers. First time surfer and he made me feel like I’ve been doing it my whole life. 10/10

We chose between Lahaina surf shack & Maui surf culture. Initially chose the former, but the employee was very off putting. She didn’t seem interested in our business.

Meeting Lolo at surf culture was absolutely amazing! He was chill af! Lolo was very helpful in directing us where to catch a wave and was a pleasure to talk too. The $30 rental included board, reef shoes, rash sweater, lockers, (shower & water located in the store)

Our son Alessandro had an amazing surf lesson today. It far exceeded expectations and he literally keep on raving about it. The instructor was very attentive, patient and explained things really well. Simply the best we have experienced. Thank you!

Todd was amazing and treated us like Ohana. Cam my God Son, and I were 1st timers and he walked us through how to do this right as well as an awesome human being to learn from, listen to and chat with. Cam was a natural and took right off! Todd was patient and worked with me after I thought I wasn't going to get this down, finally caught a wave and it was incredible! This was Cam's highlight and we did a lot of amazing things. Mahalo to the staff as well who greated us and treated us like Ohana.
Highly recommend for any level of surfer 10/10!

The most amazing experience. We signed up for the 8am class, so there was only one other person in the group. Todd was our instructor and he was unbelievably good at his job. We all ended up becoming friends by the end of the 2 hrs and one of the most joyful, fulfilling and learning experiences of our time in Maui. Highly recommend, and great value.

So much fun! My daughter and I, first time surfers, received lessons from Todd. He was patient, conversational and a great teacher. Definitely going back for more lessons.

Came here for private surf lessons while visiting Maui. Can't say enough good things about MSC! I took two private surf lessons with Ja. He went above and beyond to help me get up to speed as a beginner, like a Mr. Miyagi for surfing. From start to finish, the owner and employees treated me like family. The shop vibe was awesome too. Would absolutely recommend to anyone thinking about learning or visiting Maui. Thank you Maui Surf Culture team for such an awesome experience!

Highly recommend Maui Surf Culture for surfboard rentals! Excellent quality & great selection of hardtop boards (NSP’s), were clean and in good shape. Welcoming aloha spirit by all staff, will definitely be back!

I booked this lesson for my first-time spring break trip to Maui. Cannot say enough great things! My expectations were I’d be a group lesson and catch (hopefully) at least one wave— I was mostly after exposure to the sport since I had no experience. However, to my surprise I happened to be the only one in my lesson with coach Todd. Todd was patient, extremely knowledgeable, and encouraging. Even though the waves were a little bigger than we expected, he helped tow me out to a spot with optimal beginning waves. I always felt safe and by the end I lost count of how many waves he helped me catch! (Looking up is the key) Not only did I walk away with the experience I was after, but incredible memories and an abundance of photos captured by one of their photographers for only $30 more. Cannot recommend them enough! I did have someone drop/pick me up, but if you’re driving yourself please show up early to try to snag parking.

We had excellent experience of 2 hours with surf instructor Todd:) Relaxed, patient, easygoing, I’ve never popped up on the board as many times as that day. A great thank you! It was a highlight of my day!

This experience was better than I ever could’ve imagined. Todd was our instructor and he was great and very knowledgeable. There was only one other person in our group so three of us total so pretty private. We all rode a lot of waves. I would definitely recommend checking them out.
