Mini Garden Orient Cuisine, Honolulu HI

My wife was craving Chinese food during our trip to Hawaii, so we found this place. The food was good, and there were plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The kids really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was typical Chinese restaurant. The staff was friendly and serve speed was quick. We came a couple of times, especially when we had to do laundry.

My girl and I ordered from here and the food was so bland it was unbelievable, the crispy noodles were sitting in gloop that made them soft and the chicken we had seemed like it was cooked a week ago. It was so nasty we couldn't eat it. To top it all off dumplings looked like they were undercooked. Don't bother ordering from here, believe me. (This could be Uber eats fault but they didn't even have drinks on the menu so when we called for verification and asked her to add a drink, they couldn't do it)

Loads of vegetarian options. First place I ever been that had vegetarian gau gee. The fried rice that I ordered looked plain, but it was full of flavor.

Volcano Beef is excellent. The beef stew is so delicious and a lot of flavor. My favorites at Mini Garden

The Food is terrible; I'm talking worst food ever; I ended up trashing it up. If there were a way to give it Zero stars, I would in a heartbeat. No one deserves to waste their money this way.

I wish there was an option for a zero star. Arguably the worst food I have ever tasted in my life.

Stopped by on a random Wednesday evening and the place was busy. They have a shared parking lot on the side of the building and there wasn't a spot open. However, I was craving Chinese food so I took a chance. I put in my order and waited for 40 mins for my food. Did I mention this place was busy, there was only 1 waitress working 2 tables of 10, and 5 tables of 2, as well as all the phone/walk in orders which I counted 7 while I was there. But the food is so delicious that it was worth the wait. The pricing is fair and menu has items that you don't always see at other Chinese restaurants. The waitress was super nice and attenuative to all her customers. My advice if you choose to takeout, order online at minigardenhawaii.com I think it's easier then waiting.

Ordered Wonton min and Char siu fried rice to go. Pretty fast, good food. Courteous and friendly staff.

Since my favorite chinese restaurant is now permanently closed, I have to find another place that offers good chinese food. Mini Garded didn't disappoint. Their young chow fried rice is really tasty! This place also has catering menu. They have a big dining space so it'a good for big groups. There's parking beside and in front of the building.

I was impressed how fast the food came out. Just wished it remained hot. Didn't feel the AC was cold enough to cool it down, makes my think the food was prepped ahead of time then heated up because the taste was kinda bland. For the price it's pretty decent.

Can't go wrong with getting their signature dishes like volcano beef and chefs shrimp balls.

It's not a flawless experience but above mediocre.

“Taste” is everything with me and my family, and the food at this place was absolutely amazing and delicious! And to top it off, the prices were extremely reasonable. I actually had to look at my bill twice! The owner Kana was very cordial and would continually check on us. Wow! Loved everything about it!

I was pleased to see this restaurant offer so many vegan menu items. First off, I would recommend not getting the vegan broccoli beef—it wasn’t bad it just wasn’t good. The spring roles were meh. And the volcano spare ribs were lit (literally, on fire) —fun in presentation and flavor. The staff were super hard working and very attentive, high marks for service.

TW if it bothers you to see marine animals kept in crowded tanks with dirty water, avoid avoid.

This is one of the few chinese resturants with a very clean restroom. The food is great too.

Super tasty food, convenient parking, and fantastic service - we were welcomed in for a take-out order even after closing! Totally not expected, but much appreciated. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced.

I really love this place. Chinese food can definitely be hit or miss. But Mini Garden doesn't disappoint my family. We love the owner Kana and the things we eat, we really love. Their dessert which is complimentary is a lovely ending to the meal.

They have an extensive menu with many vegetarian options. There were many locals there in their COVID compliant dining room. We were picking up only one dish and ran into a neighborhood local who raved about the place. The service was extremely quick and the Salt and Pepper Tofu was delicious! Judging by the crowd of what appeared to be regulars, the reviews on the wall and the yummy dish we sampled.we were fortunate to find Mini Garden.

Owners are super friendly food was great she helped me with my order for my mother's 80th birthday. Everyone just loved the food especially the duck and fried rice dishes we ordered. She took special care packing the order since i had to pick it up early that day for dinner later that night.thanks so much

Yummy vegan/vegetarian options! Meat alternatives are good, some better than others. I enjoyed the mock beef.
