For a resort hotel you think you wouldn't have to self park and still be charged a daily fee to park your own car. Breakfast at the hotel was limited and not worth the price. The hotel staff are very friendly. The beach right next to the hotel is clean and spacious. Some of the hotel guest refused to wear masks if an attendant was not near by. The rooms were very modern and clean.

We loved this hotel! It is just as beautiful from the back as it is from the front! The staff was very friendly & went out of their way to help us!

We enjoyed the location because you don’t need a car & can walk to a variety of shops & restaurants! Our favorite restaurant was the one at the hotel! The food was delicious, the live music & view of the ocean made for a relaxing evening!

The chairs with umbrellas on the beach can be reserved. The staff will go out & prepare your chair with towels & serve food/drinks until 5pm!

The beach bar is a nice shady spot to take a break from the sun & grab a cold cocktail or food. We also enjoyed having a cocktail in the rocking chairs overlooking the restaurant & ocean!

Our room was extremely clean & we liked that the staff freshened our rooms each day while we were out! My favorite thing about the room was the balcony overlooking the ocean & the heated toilet seat! Sounds crazy but it was fantastic!

There are many reasons why I love this hotel, a couple of the main reasons are it's clean and 90 feet from the ️. Even though it's an older building the inside looks like it has been newly refurbished maintained at a very high level and well kept up. Anyone visiting the Moana if you're the kind of person that looks for details, what you would find here is that everything is on order and in it's right place. Pricee and out of reach for a regular working class person. If you do pay attention to the small things, you too will be the one to point out the good things about this place!

What a great holiday. Thank you to all the staff. Have since stayed in other resorts in USA since October 2017 and this resort is by far the best. Housekeeping, concierge, reception, restaurant staff, door staff, every one was above par.

What a disappointment! A tall, surly american valet made us half an hour late for our meeting. The Beach Hut then served our wine in plastic goblets, and corona in cans with a lemon on top. The staff were sooo unhelpful. The music was far too loud for the small area. The venue is in the heart of Waikiki and a beautiful building but.

Not as flashy as some places, but the aura of another century is so appealing. You should not miss the beach bar under the banyan tree, not the mini-museum on the second floor of the original structure.

I loved it here! This place has so much charm with it's old Hawaii feel. The hotel is beautiful and the customer service is on point. Very close to everything. Walking distance to it's sister hotels (Sheraton and Royal Hawaiian) and to all the amazing restaurants and shopping!

Amazing view of the beach, high end place. Food outstanding, staff great. Some lady face planted and ambulance showed up so we had a show. Drinks are Uber expensive.

A bit crowded but can't complain about the service and amenities. The night bar is a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

I have grown up at the Moana. Built in 1901 it is the very first hotel in Waikiki. They have an amazing bar right on the beach, killer steak house, and really good views. Not only is it a special place for couples it's one of my families favorite places to visit during the holidays. I recommend this hotel before any other hotel on Oahu. They do habe a pool also but it's the beach you want. Right in the center of Waikiki, it's not called The First Lady of Waikiki for nothing.

Great location but rooms are a bit dated. I also feel very nickel and dimed at this hotel. They aren't as generous and accommodating to SPG status holders as other properties in the area.

Save your money and stay somewhere else for the same price or cheaper. This hotel had one thing going for it, it's historical value, and that is all. Rundown exterior in back, rooms are tiny, sink is the size of something you'd expect to see on a fishing boat. Music in the courtyard plays pretty much from 5pm-1030pm every night. This is fine, except those nights you are exhausted and just want to go to bed early and get a good nights rest. Floors and walls are thin. Was kept up every night by the people above us moving around. Not crazy moving around either to warrant us calling front desk. Pool is tiny and beach is over crowded with people that aren't even staying at the hotel. Hotel seems to cater to weddings when we were there. Hotel staff could have been friendlier and more welcoming upon arrival. Housekeeping and maintenance guys were very friendly. My biggest disappointment was getting food poisoning from the Beach Bar chicken wings, which I'm 100% certain about. Had them at 830pm by 1am I was vomiting uncontrollably for several hours as well as on and off the following day. I stayed in my room all day long, which was a bummer bc my girlfriend and I paid to rent an umbrella and 2 lawn chairs $55 by beach. She went out for a couple hours bc I made her, so she didn't need to take care of me. Upon check out I explained to management what had happened and simply asked if they could just remove the $55 charge (umbrella chair rental) for me, seeing as their food caused me to lose a whole day of my vacation (and wasn't fully recovered for about 48hrs) Not a crazy request, right? I didn't want to make a big deal out of it and thought that was a reasonable ask. Managements response was I needed to talk to security and file a claim and have them investigate it! Said, "my health was of their upmost importance and this is why I needed to go that route. " Basically, we don't believe you. Needless to say, I was checking out and didn't have time for all that. I wish I did, bc I was extremely insulted by the way I was treated. You're a 4 star hotel and I'm paying 400 plus a night, not trying to rip you off, just simply asking the $55 charge be removed from my bill out of the principle of the matter and show of respect and

Perfect location but the rooms are extremely tired and worn. The hotel really needs some updating in terms of interiors but the architecture of the main part of the hotel is beautiful and iconic. I’ve stayed at this hotel on many occasions over the past 30 years and the standards seem to drop every time so I will look for another place to stay next time. The breakfasts used to be outstanding but it seems a lot of cost cutting has come in and now they’re nothing special. It’s a shame but perhaps management will eventually turn this situation around.

After spending half our vacation a block from the beach, we decided to switch to a "higher end" property. Basically I feel like you're paying solely for location (we paid 75 more a night compared to a brand new boutique we had been at). First night was horrible, being in the old section, overlooking a trash area and constant noise from trucks through the night. After switching rooms, and the bell desk losing our luggage for 6 hours we finally achieved what would be called an average Westin room. On the plus side, the rocking chairs and feel of the original structure are great for photos, and the lounge for SPG guests is nice (go early for a seat).

Enjoyed a fabulous stay at the iconic Westin
Moana last week in the historic wing. Awesome staff, centrally located in the heart of Waikiki and lots of activity on the beach with Surfing, SUP, beachloading Catamaran Sails and Outrigger Canoe Races. There was live Contemporary Hawaiian music in the afternoon and an awesome Ukulele Band performance as entertainment during the hotel’s Annual Mango Festival. At night we walked next door for a stellar performance by Amy Hanaiali’i Gilliom at The Blue Note Jazz Club. Way to deliver the Waikiki Experience Westin Moana. We will be back!

Such a beautiful hotel. I love the decor. The beachside bar/restaurant served the best ahi nachos I've ever had. Our server was very nice and didn't rush us. Had a great table viewing the ocean.so relaxing. They have a walk up ice cream/shave ice place near the pool.not so impressed. The lilikoi and blue vanilla flavor were fine but she smothered my shave ice with condensed milk, l had to throw it out after only a couple bites. (I recommend going to Wings in Chinatown for delicious handmade ice cream and shave ice.amazing flavors.)

Would not recommend Moana surf rider was def not what I was expecting after paying $5000 for 2 weeks! Well where do I start? Firstly we got checked into our room which was tiny and very out dated does not look like anything in the photos very deceiving. Secondly when we entered our room there was a foul smell like damp/mould. I thought the smell would pass but it didn’t on our second night I actually realised we were sleeping in a DOUBLE bed when we booked and paid for a KING. The room were very poorly looked after house keeping staff did not clean the rooms as they should been. We then complained about this all to the manager Michael which was nice enough to move us to the other side of the resort with a KING bed he also sent us a basket with cookies champagne chocolate and chips and drinks which was nice. But as the days went by I noticed the room that we got upgraded to was very poorly cleaned by house keeping. Hair left all over the bathroom floor urine still left on toilet seat. My mouthwash rinse wasn’t topped up. Floors weren’t vacuumed. Prior to this we stayed at the Hyatt highly recommend this place had no problems rooms were much bigger an rooms were very clean.
Def not returning to the Moana was not was I was expecting after paying that amount of money.
