Spend your money elsewhere. Bunch of washed up beach bums run the place and try and rip off their customers. Especially the blonde drug addict lookin dude with the tattoos. No aloha at this shady spot

This is my go-to spot when it comes to board rentals/lessons. These guys are awesome and very accommodating. If you're a surfer, I highly recommend renting a premium board here. It's $30/day and they're in great shape! It's also extremely cost-efficient to rent on-the-spot here too. Fair warning, I bring my own leash/fin/nut.

Last time out, the gf got a lesson (first-time surfer) and caught more waves than me. Brian, her coach, created a very encouraging environment with sound advice and the reasoning behind each move made. He also gave plenty of help in the line-up to everyone! It was great having that local-break knowledge, made it so much easier to get into the surf.

The staff at the shop are all very nice and easy-going. 10/10 recommend and will go back to these guys.

I haven’t had this is much fun in years! Raynard is easy going and patient, and tows you like a seal! I had such a wonderful experience and want to come back for more!

My wife and I had an awesome time catching our first waves today. Highly recommend Abe from Moku. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about surfing and put us in position to catch some great waves!

It is an awesome surf shop. Very nice people and cheap rentals for tourism. They picked out a fun board for me to use that I could access whenever I wanted during the rental, and there was wax ready to go. Great spot!

Here’s why I always rent from Moku and why I give them five stars: everyone in the shop is super friendly. Regardless of the day or who is working, I’m always welcomed and greeted warmly. The store is in a great location, an easy walk to the beach. Importantly the hours are insane, in the best way possible! They open at 6: 00 a.m. And close at 8: 00 p.m. Every day! There is a huge selection of quality boards including premium rentals and everything is reasonably priced. High praise for Moku, thank you Brian and team!

We had an amazing time at Moku! Our first day, we took a lesson with Mark. We loved it so much that we came back the next day to rent boards by ourselves. And then we came back again and had a lesson with Abe, yet another wonderful experience. The instructors are very friendly, very experienced, and very kind. They ensure you’ll have a fun, safe experience. This was our first time surfing in the ocean, and now we’re hooked.
Moku has become a must-go place for us anytime we come back to Oahu!

Brian Daniels and his friend are such amazing people. I lost my watch at a beach in Hawaii and they were so kind and nice to call me on my phone and ready to ship it to my home in Cincinnati. I mean how many of them do it, these days.

Best place to get surfing lessons! Abe was an amazing instructor! His patience and encouragement made our first surf experience incredible. We will definitely be back!

My daughter and I went to Moku for a surf lesson on our trip to Honolulu. Starting with reserving a lesson, arriving there and prepping for lesson (signing waiver, storing your things, rash guard, shoes, etc.), and the lesson itself, all the people at Moku and especially our instructor, Abe, were all just awesome! Everyone there were friendly, patient, helpful, and Abe was so caring, watching out for us and really wanted us to enjoy our experience. I would highly recommend Moku and Abe for your first or multiple surf lessons. And also if you want to rent boards or other equipment, this place is reasonable and equipment is in good shape. We'll definitely be going back! Thank you Moku and thank you Abe!

Had a 2 person 90-minute surf lesson with Abe. Incredible time and would highly recommend- Abe is an A+ instructor and made our experience a memorable one. We caught plenty of waves thanks to his guidance!

I highly recommend getting lessons here, Ricky is an amazing instructor/ teacher! That guy is great! They also have good rentals for a cheap cost.

Went for a one hour lesson with Abe. Would definitely recommend! First time surfing and he was encouraging and helpful, always keeping an eye out for me and others in the water. Very friendly, reasonable prices for private lesson. I was also able to schedule a time that worked with my schedule. They seem passionate about sharing their love of surfing and it showed.

We have been here couple times for surf lesson. The price is reasonable and the coaches that we met are awesome. Sky, Rick and Brian are all very good coaches! Highly recommend!

We rented two long boards and a short board before we arrived in Waikiki. Delivery was prompt and friendly. We later rented a stand up paddle board and delivery was again prompt and friendly and the board arrives within an hour of our request. Pickup was just as easy. Fantastic and professional service and excellent quality boards.

I went to this store to rent a couple of boards for my partner and I because of its good price.
Upon entering we were greeted by a young girl with Hawaiian features, very pleasant and very professional. He asked us if it was our first time to which we answered more or less yes, we are beginners. He very kindly came out of the shop and tried to find two boards for us. He picked up one that he was going to wax for my partner, but at that moment, a black man arrived, ushered the saleswoman in, and handed us the first two boards that other customers were returning to them at that very moment, ignoring our experience, height, and weight. My board was not in very good condition and my partner's board did not have much wax, so it was very difficult for him to stand up. We didn't realize these details due to the excitement of the vacation and the desire to surf, so we returned the boards early because it was tedious to use. When returning them, the same man did not bother to pick up and replace the boards, he simply came on a skateboard and waved us in the distance, so I left the boards where it seemed to me.

The first girl was professional and eager to do things well, but the other person should be more careful with her clients when you are "working" with the public and more if these clients are foreigners.
