To say the hike there is gnarly would be an understatement. This trail is very poorly maintained with overgrown plants. It is very easy to get lost on this trail so you definitely need a satellite GPS. The first 4 miles are hiking down on potentially slippery mud and on ridges. Do this hike with a friend I'm case you slip or fall. The views at the end are definitely worth the struggle though. Just wish this trail was better maintained
