Nico's Kailua reviews
18Had fish and chips which were delicious.and a mahi tai.had to hang out for a extra 30 minutes bc it lived up to it's name (strong AF mahi tai) and it was delicious
Website says “Full service all day”… Doesn’t open for dinner until 3. This wouldn’t be a big deal except when we walked in, we were told they were only serving drinks and appetizers until 4. Seriously?
Quite possibly my favorite restaurant on the island. I absolutely enjoy listening to their live music every night after 7 PM and bringing friends and family who are visiting the island for the experience. The food is fantastic as is the service and the atmosphere. Although many restaurants on the windward side of Oahu can have extensive wait times I have never had to wait longer than 20 minutes for a table here. Looking forward to my next visit!
We were able to get seated quickly. Note, they are under staffed so not all tables are utilized. Jimmy was great. Our Waiter was great. The food was great. We will go back!
Looks like Nico's as back to normal, with some live music and a packed house for dinner and drinks at the bar. Nice atmosphere, great service and friendly people.
This spot came highly recommended by several locals, one of which has been a friend a long time, so I knew I would be in good hands. Nicos did not disappoint. We had grilled fresh mahi mahi, peppercorn swordfish, calamari, steamed clams, and parmesan noodles for our little one. Everyone absolutely loved their meal and we all shared bites with one another and agreed, delicious on all counts. Hard to go wrong with a fresh grilled fish dinner!
It hurt my heart how badly they overcooked the two swordfish we ordered. Such a great piece of fish to be butchered. Other than that good service and nice location.
Great restaurant and the other side of the island. A sibling to Niccos on the pier, the food was outstanding, every thing we has was off the chart!
Although I think Nico's is a little overrated, I was impressed by the attentive service here and I appreciate the nice view. I really appreciate the happy hour 4-6, even on Saturday, when draft beers and well drinks are $5. Unfortunately, there's no food discounts.
The food is good, about what you'd expect for the price, and the portions are big enough that you won't go hungry. Overall, Nico's Kailua is a solid choice for people who live in the area.
I ordered the calamari and truffle French fries appetizers along with a house salad. It looked so good I dug in and ate half of it before I realized I forgot to take a picture, The mango-passion cheesecake was delightful.
I have been here several times before and the food has always hit the spot. Bryson was very friendly and courteous.
Keep making these wonderful culinary delights.
Called and they said they had plenty of seating.got there and tgey saud it was a 20 min wait. 45 min later there were plenty if tables but they needed to seat a party if 11.we left.
AWESOME! Great food, atmosphere and service. Kanani was the best! Finished dinner and sat at the bar and caught some local music and hula with Kayla taking care of us. Will DEFINITELY BE BACK!
Was watching my friend Steve and his wife Nina enjoyed their dinner at your restaurant only to see the waiter tell them to leave because they were filming their experience if you're going to eject people from the restaurant for filming in public you should consider posting a sign 1 star for you
Update: nicos still a great place, but now they close at 9pm on the weekend.bummers.
Nico's has a pretty good happy hour, Mon-Sun, 4pm-6pm. The fish market is also a great option to grab food from. The ahi temaki is particularly delicious. The fish market closes at 6pm, and the prices are marked down around 4pm.
Dining in is a nice option too. The menu selection is limited and the prices are on the more expensive side. The pokechos only come with 4oz of poke and one too many won ton chips. We enjoyed the burger, roast beef, and pesto chicken salad.
Delicious food, exceptional service, great atmosphere.what more could you want. We had an excellent dining experience on our first visit to Nico's. I highly recommend it and we will definitely go back. Thanks to Billie, Jimmy and the chef for a great night showing our family the best of Kailua.
Had a nice Sunday afternoon snack and drink at the bar. The seating was closed until they start dinner service at 430pm. Not crowded.
Wow! Great food with positive vibes all around
Wait was not bad considering it was a Friday night. Definitely would recommend and we would dine here again. Great oyster shooters!
*I recommend the braised short ribs. So much flavor, no bones.just like butter
I got a loco moco, the gravy was delicious and my egg was cooked perfectly to order & my boyfriend had the Dbl Cheeseburger the burgers for both were fantastic! I highly recommend the tempura fish bites, the sauce is fantastic the cocktail drinks were amazing & I love the full bar. One of my new favorite eats
