North Shore Shrimp Truck, Haleiwa HI

Shrimp truck was ok, but not as good as it could be. Garlic seasoning is ok but a bit bland, and like other reviews mention, the shrimp are cooked and seasoned shell-on which seems a weird choice for a food truck feeding tourists. The shells are too tough to eat.

Overall it's overpriced for what you get. And they forgot to make my order so even though it wasn't busy at all I waited about 25 mins.

I got the garlic shrimp and was pretty disappointed. The shrimp texture was fine, but the garlic flavor was pretty mild. The rice was so mushy it kinda ruined the whole experience for me. It wasn’t the worst, but definitely not the best, especially for $17. Aloha Shrimp blows this place out of the water but is a further drive away.

Not great food. I got the garlic shrimp, which needed salt or something. Plus, there was still a hard shell around the whole shrimp- like the consistency of the tail. Once I peeled it off, all of the flavor went with it. The salad was sub-par. The eating area was impressively clean, especially with all the chickens hanging out. Nice view.

I've never had a garlic shrimp that doesn't taste like garlic at all. For $17 of 8 pieces small shrimp you get a smooshy baby food. Black pepper and salt wouldnt hurt for $17 late. The shrimp is overcooked and the rice is really soggy. Tourists and locals are better with other shrimp food truck for this price. The shave ice was freshly made but crumbled apart after the server gave it to us. For $9 of dismembered shave ice and soggy garlic shrimp, this food truck is not worth it.

Garlic shrimp was very disappointing.sadly there was no seasoning, it was soaked in so much butter.

Very soggy shrimp.no seasoning.a lot of butter. The garlic shrimp which was sitting on the rice made it really soggy.

Unfortunately this place was a bust. We opted to give it a shot since the place we wanted had a huge line and this place had no line. We love shrimp so figured to give it try. First off they DO NOT PEEL the shells off the Shrimp so you are constantly picking shell out of your mouth. Secondly the Shrimp was drowned in sauce so now you are trying even harder to get the disgusting shells out of your mouth but around the glops of sauce they put on it.out of all the disappointing heavy food we ate in Hawaii this one was the absolute worst - two plates totaled $46 -. You gotta at least peel the shrimp before you cook it, lazy restaurant.

I am not sure if They can cook less tasty than this. Look like don't cake about the food quality if you are hungry, ready to eat anything. And I am not sure I will come back next time either.

If there were six stars, I'd give the food a six. It was hot and fast and fresh and so tasty! Heaping helping of everything and a view like no other. Mahalo!

Arrived after noon and hopped in the very long line and got what was more than likely shrimp that had been continuously cooking in a huge portion to serve a large crowd. So what I got was overcooked shrimp and rice that didn't seem like anything special at all. If you been swimming in the ocean or doing beach activities all day when you go there starving it will probably seem like some of the best food you've tasted in a while. I drove from Waikiki to the truck and didn't get that feeling of the reviews I've read. Pretty sure this was my first and last time eating here bcuz it wasn't great to me,

Love the free walking chicken/rooster. We even had chance to watch a small rooster fight. Food variety is limited, $$ range, doesn’t really justify for such spot. Looks like more snorkel place to rent and hangout all day. It would be nice to have a ped crossing, you have to walk back to lights.

An amazing place with fantastic food. Where else can you find a multi-million dollar view and delicious shrimp taco's and burritos. I honestly don't know how it could get any better.

We had Tres Leches, Tiki Pineapple, and cheese quesadilla. The Tiki smoothie is served in the actual pineapple! There is plenty of parking behind the trucks and also across the street. There are picnic tables with umbrellas. It is the perfect spot to enjoy a sunset!

Garlic shrimp was a complete disappointment seemed as though they just add minced garlic with out seasoning it.
Lemon butter was a bit better but definitely leave room for improvement. Employees are more in to what's their favorite Disney movie than cooking and what's worse the cook choose ratatouille.

The people were nice, but the food is very bland and the tables are infested with chickens trying to steal your food.

It's food truck style, so don't expect fine China and linens, but DO expect fantastic shrimp and reasonable prices!

The rice was really greasy. The price was very expensive as well. We ordered one garlic shrimp and one lemon shrimp. Included 15% tips was $41 with only rice and some shrimps and a little bit lettuce…definitely not worthy to spend money there. We both did not finish and feel like we will throw up if we keep eating that.

Can't beat the location, but the food is average and obviously expensive. People were nice, but the service/preparation was slow. I had fish tacos with rice and beans. Paid extra for chips and salsa. Others in my party paid for guacamole, but chips weren't included.
