Great trail with moderate level of difficulty. Some of the obstacles need fair amount of agility. The view from the top is spectacular (we were told - we turned back after half a mile).

Great trail, good amount of elevation with some light technical spots and absolutely the best views at the top. Excellent morning hike.

Decent, moderate hike with near panoramic views of East Kauai. Bring a hat, water and perhaps hiking poles if you like them. There are usually walking sticks left against the trunknof the huge tree to your right just as you start the hike. It gets hot on sunny days and muddy after it rains. I only went to the shelter. There is another part of the hike called west trail.

Beautiful trail! The best 2 miles you will ever hike. Beautiful from start to finish. Worth every second

Fairly steep hike overall. The trail was pretty dry so no problems with slipping. Would be if rainy. The very last part before the top is a rocky ledge you need to scramble up using your hands and care. The view from the top is spectacular giving a wide view below. Take a couple bottles of water and a snack for tge top. I would recommend light hiking shoes or at least good traction on your outsoles. There is a covered picnic table before tge summit with a good view too if you decide to turn around at the rocky ledge. Start early if it's going to be a sunny hot day.

Awesome! No experience hiking. Made it to the top. It was dry out so hike was not an issue. I can see it being difficult if trail is wet.

Fantastic 2 mile -ish up to the top. It does get steeper toward the end and there are a few areas where rock scrambling is necessary. I would suggest you are, at least, walking 30 minutes to an hour regularly before trying this hike. I would say families with kids under 7 should not do this hike. I also suggest having someone drop you off and pick you up as parking is limited. I hiked from 1-3 pm and because it is mostly shaded, it was a very pleasant hike.

Entrance to East Trail Head and parking lot. Tried twice to attempt trail for Sleeping Giant, but due to rain, path was very muddy and slippery. Great for experienced hikers and those with appropriate footgear. Definitely a must do when path is dry.
