Restaurant OBAKE reviews
18Super fresh sushi hand-rolls, and unique (and amazing) cocktails, the only let down was they were out of cheesecake we will definitely be coming back!
Always such a good spot to have drinks and food. Usually a rotating food special and the bartenders are the best!
Stumbled on this place, after another dinner plan fell through. Exceptional food, mind-blowing cocktails, and service felt like we were the only party there. Shoutout to our bar tender (think he was the manager?) - he heard us mention we were in a time crunch and made sure we got in and out in time.
Absolutely love the atmosphere here! The cocktails are super pretty and delicious, and the yuzu cheesecake is too die for
We just stopped in for a cocktail as we were barhopping after dinner. Cool spot with good energy. Jason was very kind and friendly. He recommended some drinks and they were great! Will definitely return to try their handrolls.
Vibes are great. They have this urban hip-hop sushi restaurant vibe which I was really digging since it was so unique compared to the rest of our vacation in HI. Food and drink was really good and staff was really nice and chill. Wish I could have stayed longer but had a dinner reservation to go to afterwards
Really good cocktails but for some reason, the place had a strange smell. It kind of smelled like pee.
The hand rolls were ok, I just felt that the fish didn’t have much flavor and that the texture was a bit chewy…so it may not have been the best quality. It wasn’t terrible though, just not good.
Finally was able to get out for a date night, forked the money out for a babysitter, took the cab to Obake, and arrived at 10: 20.too our surprise, we somehow just missed last call when the restaurant doest close until 12.we decided to stay for drinks anyway since we were already there.the two couples next to us, obviously just arrived as well.they were just getting their first cocktails.they were continuously putting in food orders for another 20 minutes, even though it was after "last call". We find out later, they only did last call because they did not feel like making more rice.we joked that maybe one of the couples we were chatting g with could order us food since they had no problems! It would've been nice if they at least offered the hot pupus from the kitchen but no.you could tell they just wanted to get out early and were bothered that we even stayed for a drink. I really wanted to try this place and like it, but even the cocktails were just so-so.presentations was nice, but flavors were not cohesive.
Great concept and set up. Went during the day. I need to go back for their sushi and drinks!
Great service, great food, and great drinks. The ambience is solid with eclectic art all around. The dry aged hand rolls add a unique twist to the sushi standard, and the bartenders offer a variety of specials to cover everyone.
We had a phenomenal time at Obake. The hand rolls are super unique and insanely delicious. Also the cocktails are thoughtful and balanced and very reasonably priced.
Cocktails are out of this world. So picture perfect, same goes for the graffiti on the walls
Went for the matcha bar. Bartender was v personable. Got 2 iced oat milk sweetened matcha lattes for $15plus tip. Good matcha
Obake is ridic! This will be the new hot spot in Chinatown! The drinks are amazing.
The Black Cat pandan is a must try! Squid ink martini is sublime, beautiful.
The veg rolls are so good you won’t miss the fish or meat. But the dry aged yellowtail was really special. Service was also excellent! So stoked for this place
We were pulled off the street for their soft opening to try some drinks. Odd combinations but they all worked wonderfully. Cool graffiti everywhere, very urban upscale vibes with super nice staff
Hip-hop playing, while insanely good drinks being served, what's not to love. Had a handroll which was hitting the right spot. Stoked to come back and try their matcha bar during the day.
Everything is SOOOO delicious! The cocktails are great and special; The hand rolls are very tasteful and rich! Highly recommend. And the chefs are very friendly and communicate!
