Did the noon deluxe tour. Great organization.
Super friendly and knowledgeable crew.
Just fun being out and “hunting” whales. Saw some breaching early January what was great.
Also supporting a good cause which makes each dollar so worth to spend!

We were really looking forward to the sunset sail with Pacific Whale Foundation on the last night of our honeymoon, only for it to be cancelled 5 hours before we were supposed to check in. At that point, it was too late to book with another company for the same night. They offered the opportunity to re-book for another day or give a full refund, and unfortunately we needed to take the refund since it was our last night in Hawaii. We were looking forward to this being a highlight of our trip and wish there had been more notice so we could have booked elsewhere.

The boat ride was awesome. The captain and his assistant were fun, and had great knowledge about dolphins and whales. They also had an underwater microphone device kinda thing through which we heard how the whales and dolphins sound in water.

Three of us went on the Molokini and Turtle Cove snorkel trip. It was a great experience. The boat was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and every part of the trip was well done, from the food and drink to the educational tidbits to the snorkel experience itself. It was less expensive than the other options and of course the Foundation has a focus on helping our oceans and marine life.

My husband and I had a great snorkling experiance for beginners. I would highly reccommend! A lot of educational information. Make sure to bring some cash along.

Great organization that funds research into protecting the humpback whales of the region. We did an afternoon tour from maalea and saw so many whales, one even came up to the boat within 150 feet of us!

We did the Molokini and Turtle town snorkelling trip today. It was a mixed bag of things, so I thought I'd list pros and cons.

Pros:
- Snorkelled both the places
- Saw a lot of fishes and 4 turtles
- The captain stopped to sight some whales/turtles
- there were vegetarian options in the breakfast and lunch
- the crew was friendly and often asked people if they needed anything
- they had surf boards/life vests/floating devices for people that needed it.

Cons:
- the water in both places was choppy and not comfortable (but they stopped anyways)
- the captain was very talkative (some of it was helpful, most of it wasn't)
- the captain said this is my secret spot in Molokini - the spot had a lot of seaweed or wood chips that got everywhere on you
- the lunch was fairly bland.
- too much advertising for the wetsuit (many people spent an extra $10 per person on it and it wasn't really necessary per say)

The trip was okay, I don't regret it since we got to see some wildlife - but it feels oriented towards money making than good service. I only hope the money is going towards whales as they claim.

Fantastic tour and great crew! Really glad we got to see the whales hanging and playing by boat and learning about them in the process.

Only thing, please stop printing all the photos and rapid print them on request, I can’t imagine this is the most eco friendly way to handle the photos.

Long story short, unbelievably bad costumer service with a no notice cancellation.

I had no problems booking the tour online and it all seemed fine until we got up at 5: 30am, ate our heated breakfast, and made our way to the marina like a couple of clams. Once we got there we went to check in and found out there was no tour because we were the only ones that booked. Understandable enough, except that there was no notice. The person that told me this news told me she sent me an email cancelling the tour at the moment she sent the email. Unbelievable. I can appreciate they do good work but that doesn’t exempt them from basic human decency. I did receive a refund, but at that point we couldn’t book any boats that morning.

My partner and I went here for a snorkeling tour. It was hands down the best guided tour we’ve ever experienced. All of the guides were both hospitable and knowledgeable. They provided all of the necessary snorkeling gear and even the food was unexpectedly tasty. To top it all off, the Pacific Whale team made environmental sustainability a part of the whole tour and had the naturalist backgrounds to explain these important topics in a way the entire tour group could understand. Thanks team for helping to save and protect our oceans and underwater friends.

A wonderful experience, very educational and I love their mission. You can tell everyone on board was very passionate about their jobs and truly believe in what they do.

Had a great whale watching tour! They‘ll answer all of your questions about the whales and even let you hear into the ocean to experience the whales singing! Keep up the great tours!

Nov. 27,2021 early season outing. Capt.and crew super friendly. This trip wasn't crowded. We all had great views of several whales not far off in the distance. Loved every minute.

This is one of my favorite places to shop on Maui, the merchandise is all top quality and a percentage of the proceeds goes to help save our precious whales.why wouldn't I go there!

I've lived here 4+ years and my parents have lived her 19+ years. Been on many pac whale snorkel and whalewatch trips but today was off the hook. So early in the season many breach and flook sightings with whales huge pod of spinner dolphins and a rare breed of hammerhead shark on the surface sightings. Amazing

I bought the VIP ticket, and sure enough, we got 1 of the 2 best tables on the boat - right up front on second tier. The staff were super friendly, the food was delicious and the views were breathtaking. Too early in season for whales, but still incredible.

They cancelled our snorkeling trip with 14 hours notice (4: 30PM call for a 6: 30am trip) and didn’t even seem sorry about. Like Hawaiian vacations aren’t all planned and I’m just going to reschedule it? Thanks but no, won’t ever even consider booking with them in the future.

The cancellation was due to lack of enough people on the boat, like they couldn’t see that earlier in the day? Or the day before? Something? What a joke of an organization.

And I was hung up on by the women who answered today when I said they should probably let people know more in advance. Great service. They were 9 people short for what they need for the trip; did they expect to get 9 trips booked in a few hours on Sunday?

Awesome snorkeling experience, captain John let me do a backflip off the boat at Molokini. They'll make you a chicken sandwich after you chill with sea turtles, 10/10

I was thrilled to pay for a snorkeling trip that also supported a company working to save the oceans! The staff taught us a lot about the local islands and marine life. Their passion for conservation and sustainability is admirable. Everyone working on the boat was kind, attentive but also put the oceans first: no unsafe reef sunblock is allowed, they were strict on keeping distance from the turtles, and they even collected trash floating in the ocean during our excursion.

They made sure we had the best experience. When high winds ruined the chances of going to our second planned snorkeling spot, they changed plans three times to get us to the best spot!
