Got there and had to wait for someone to show up to help got two pearls both white a little pricey $35 for two pearls not set just by them self, the one in Waikiki, I would give Today I went the their other location in Honolulu I would recommend, I would give. The man that helped me was great very friendly and had a great personality

Christina was so very I really like her personality. I could tell that she enjoys her job and she knows all about she the jewelry. The necklace I got was for my 25th wedding anniversary from my husband.

My husband had me pick an oyster to get a Pearl for me; the staff was super sweet and knowledgeable, she even gave me tips to make a good pick, she did a cute little ritual before opening and they even have options to put your pear in a piece of jewelry right away

The pearls were absolutely immaculate and the settings were beyond perfection! We really enjoyed the entertaining experience and conversations with Akahi, such a great man. Can’t wait to return!

SCAM ALERT. After advertising “$14.99” to open a pearl - they force you to buy a setting. My husband and I just got married. We spent a good chunk of change on our honeymoon/wedding, so we didn’t want to spend a ton. I was clear I wanted to see the most affordable settings and the salesman pulled out three 500-300 dollar settings. Haha…uhm what? It took us a good twenty minutes of talking him down to a $50 setting - with the guy saying that was the cheapest one (even though they advertised $35 settings).

At one point he even suggested we put a $200 setting on our credit card - which was super sleazy. He also said we would “devalue” our pearl (total B. S.) by getting a cheap setting. He pulled the “you should treat yourself” card and would ask “which is your favorite of these three? ” And after you picked a favorite he would try to ring it up - uhhh no.

All in all what should have been a fun romantic experience was tainted by hustling con artists.

While I personally don't like pearls, the experience and fun of opening a pearl and "getting your own" was nice. My wife really enjoyed it and had a great time. I'd you just do the pearl opening it's cheap and fun.

As eveyone says be ready to spend an extra 80-500 per pearl if you want to turn it into a necklace or jewelry of some kind.

We got the cheapest combo with no diamonds and it was almost 100 per single pearl necklace.

My husband and I had a great time visiting the Pearl Factory kiosk on our recent trip to Hawaiian Village, Honolulu. Edmond the associate was respectful, a bunch of fun and informative too! I have read some negative reviews about the unsavory tactics of the "pick a pearl" experience, but we knew going in that the big money maker for the Pearl Factory is in the setting, and we knew we could say no at any time. What we experienced was an hour or so of laughs and entertainment with Edmond as we gonged and "Aloha'd" and excitedly opened our oysters. I ended up with a simple gold ring with a single pretty pearl which I now ADORE just because of the happy story behind it. Is it worth lots more than I paid? I'm quite sure it's not, although it is very nice quality. But the memory it holds is priceless. Edmond also gave us valuable information about where to go on the island, his personal recommendations, and insight into life in Hawaii. Nobody was pushy, nobody was rude. Go with an idea of your spending limits, and understand you are not getting something for nothing. But do go to see Edmond; he is a jewel.:)

Picking a Pearl is pretty fun and relatively inexpensive. But there's a hard sell coming for jewelry afterward. There's a 13 option in silver if you want more than just a Pearl.
