As part of out passport this Aviation Museum on first blush seems like all other aviation museums I have been to.but it is not!

Rich in history of what our military service men and women had endured, detailed and educational, and awe inspiring.

Glad I visited.

Great experience. We visited the place just before closing so it wasn't too crowded. There are 2 hangars and an open air park with full of airplanes and helicopters and modern jets. Amazing view for the whole family.

One hundred percent worth the time to visit. If you’re into aviation and/or history, this is your place. It’s clear that these folks genuinely care for their museum and their exhibits. Plus, you can see the restoration area where future exhibits are being prepared. How cool. Go see this museum on Ford Island and enjoy the rich history that’s waiting for you!

This place was amazing, a lot of people go see Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona memorial but probably skip this part. I enjoyed it greatly, and the emotion simulator ride, was the best. There is a navy blue angel on display, I'm an airline and aircraft enthusiast so this place was awesome, highly recommended.

A wonderful once in a lifetime experience. The exhibit tells the story of the attack on pearl harbor with painstakingly accurately reconstructed aircraft. A must see!

I have been to Pearl Harbor 3 times and today I added the Aviation Museum. I personally love jets so this was a treat for me. The new Bob Hope USO exhibit was a nice tribute to someone who did so much for the troops. Military Jets from the past and current was a treat.

Absolutely fantastic experience & highly recommended. Get the audio tour so you can hear the different parts of the stories along the route.

The historical planes, stories that accompany them and the men who flew the planes is riveting. The simulator seems fun - we saw a long line of people waiting to get inside and everyone leaving had a smile on their faces.

Definitely recommend if you visit the memorial. You get to see Japanese and US planes involved in the war and the pacific and additionally a lot of US military fighters, helicopters, and planes from previous generations in hanger 76. Hanger 76 however could do with a lot more information on the planes on display as some even lack a placard with a name/type. Also note that you are mostly looking at the fuselage as the engines/intakes are stripped out.

As someone who doesn’t LOVE aviation history I appreciated the smaller amounts of planes and history tidbits. I did enjoy the Bob Hope exhibit and other tidbits about life during WWII in Hawaii.

We really like this museum, and ended up buying annual passes. It’s never crowed. The main exhibit hall is well thought out and informative with a decent cafe. My kids LOVE the simulator (extra cost-but justifiable with the passes) The hangar has old/new/ big and little planes from every era. The tent in between has rotating exhibits, all of which we’ve loved. It’s not huge, an hour is probably good. Recommend this off the beaten path part of the national park.
