Perkins Kimberly L MD, Honolulu HI

Dr. Perkins has been my doctor for the past 4 years and she has always been very informative, professional, and helpful. She helped me deliver my beautiful baby girl last year without complications and was very gentle giving me a great experience in my delivery. Along with that she has made sure I get referrals to all the proper doctors for my health issues. She is a real god send. I cannot praise her enough. Thank you Dr. Perkins.

Kim Perkins saved my mothers life by requiring her to do some tests which uncovered cancer. She has been my doctor for over a decade and is well informed, a wonderful listener, compassionate and always gives me loads of detailed information and advice, then let’s me choose. I also use a naturopath and she is very open to that. I highly recommend her for menopausal women

My wife and I do not feel safe with Dr Kim Perkins. It is difficult to get in touch with her in an emergency, and impossible for a routine question. She never recommended blood tests to check iron or calcium levels, she literally just asked "is your diet good"? And left it at that. We only learned later on when my wife ended up in the emergency room due to covid that her iron levels were critically low. We were in the ER because we couldn't get a hold of Dr Perkins for a regular visit. We specifically asked for additional ultrasounds during our visits which she would not do. Bills have to be paid by check, no cards accepted. She is essentially a very complacent doctor who does the bare minimum to get by. We are now having a difficult time transferring doctors because we are too far along in our pregnancy and other doctors won't accept us. I'm writing this review to encourage others to seek a different doctor before it's too late.

I have only had the one appointment so far but so far so good. I think she's great. Her office and staff are great too. Didn't wait to long. Parking was good. She isn't going to retire anytime soon so you wont have to find another OB GYN in a few years.:)

Dr. Perkins was the perfect doctor for me in my four years living in Oahu. She always took the time to listen, answer questions, and made sure I was under the best care possible. After struggling with fertility, she got me in to see the best doctors, followed my pregnancy, called in specialists when it was needed and orchestrated my entire two years trying to conceive and manage a pregnancy. She showed up at 2 in the morning to help deliver my healthy baby girl! Definitely would recommend getting in to see her. Loved her office staff too!

After years of searching for a new obgyn, I was fortunate to find Dr. Perkins. Empathetic, genuine, and knowledgeable are some of the words that come to mind. She always takes time with her patients, answering questions, and I never felt rushed out of her office (like other doctors). She delivered my first baby via c-section. Thanks to her care, expertise and precision during surgery I had a quick recovery and a healthy baby girl!

Dr. K. Perkins has excellent knowledge and caring bedside manner. As a healthcare professional myself (RN) I can be choosy, however for the past 10 years it has been a great pleasure having her as my OBGYN. I can only pray that she does not retire any time soon. Having delivered my first child, helped with family planning, performed surgery and answered every question I have ever posed, I feel confident in my recommendation of this excellent provider. She is very cautious, concerned about her patients, and kind.

I see Dr. Perkins only has one other review on Google, and it's a 1-star. I've had the complete opposite experience with her. My primary care physician referred me when I became pregnant. She is very professional, doesn't rush our appointments and makes sure all of my questions are answered. I've called on multiple occasions with random questions about my pregnancy, and she personally calls me back the same day. She's been great, and I would recommend her.

Worst ob/gyn practice to provide care to pregnant women. I chose Dr. Perkins as my Obgyn from a simple online search, but ended up switching to Kapiolani’s Women & Health later on in my pregnancy and I’m so glad I did. Dr. Perkins is unprofessional, insensitive to patient needs and overall I was not comfortable with her delivering my baby. My advice for expecting mothers (especially first timers) looking for an obgyn, do your research and ask around for personal recommendations when choosing an obgyn.
