Pho Viet Restaurant, Hilo HI

If you are a vegetarian or vegan, want a more sustainable meal do not eat here. They offer no options for people who don't eat animals.

We have been living in Hilo for 3 years and this was our most favorite place. We’ve been going there at least once a week (if not more). We’ve moved to WA now, it has been over a year and we can’t find a pho place that matches our favorite Pho Viet. Tasty clear broth, home made spicy sauce to compliment. I MISS YOU! I’m ready to fly to Hawaii island just to go that place again!

Small, unassuming Vietnamese place in downtown Hilo. Prices are reasonable; food is generally good. Dining area can feel cramped.

Best pho I ever had, and it was my first pho ever! Will totally come back for more. Location is very hidden, and that’s what makes it very exclusive I think. But, environment is very at home— and hospitality was great!

Soup Was great it really was but they need to improve on making the place bigger and with a proper air conditioning it was hot in there.

Open hours are very friendly to visitors. Price is very reasonable regarding the quality. Most importantly, Pho is served in 5 min after order. What else you can say to this speed?

Good pho at very reasonable prices (nothing over $8). Small restaurant with approx.ten 4-top tables. Often there is a line to get it. Personally, I enjoy the #13 (flank & tendon) and a Thai iced tea.

One of my favorite places to get pho in hilo but the wait time sucked because the restaurant is so small.

We love this pkace! Fast service, air conditioned, and really, really good pho. I love the beef stew. (its pretty spicy).

Very good pho and the prices are super reasonable, even for a small town on the mainland. Excellent, fast service and the staff was very friendly. Garlic chili sauce is out of this world.

They don’t always say when they’re going to be close so I recommend calling ahead. We live 40 minutes away and drove all the way over there for nothing. It was on a day when they should’ve been open.

The food is good and the prices are reasonable, though the accommodations are not great for large parties.

This place was delicious! I had the chicken soup and I was very impressed with the flavor and portion size. 10/10 would come back again!

This place is great! Price is great $8/bowl. Serving is generous, staff is nice. My only gripe w this place, almost always packed and they're usually out of broth by 630-7pm, even though the sign says they close at 8. Otherwise, ENJOY!

We showed up at opening and there was a line of people already waiting and a line when we left. After eating here, we understood why.
The dishes were delicious and the price was so low. The food also came out very fast and the staff was friendly.
Btw.the hot sauce they provide is super spicy so be cautious about how much you add.
