17Always delicious fresh seafood! Best calamari! The very best sit down restaurant for fish. Cute and cozy atmosphere and great drink menu. Never had a mediocre dinner there!
The food is good, I wouldn't say amazing and the drinks were a little too sweet. I wouldn't say the prices here quite match the quality but the service is fast and friendly. I was also not a huge fan of the location, no beautiful ocean view.
My favorite place to bring visitors and guests for lunch and dinner. Calamari steak is always excellent.freshest seafood on the island. Nice décor and great service. Can't wait to go back.
We took our very knowledgeable waiter Matthias' recommendations and enjoyed their specialty Ono in Sherry sauce, and opted for brown rice and choy sum (Chinese spinach). We topped it off with fine Kona coffee and their signature bread pudding.
Their menu is well varied, with several daily fresh fish choices as well as chicken, steak, poke, and sandwiches. I highly recommend this restaurant for family as well as intimate dining.
Best fish restaurant in Honolulu. Great waiter who knows food and drinks. Totally under the radar, if you like food you will like Uncle's
We live on Maui. Everytime we travel to Oahu we make sure to visit Uncle's Fish Market. Always great food AND service. A definite place to go for fresh fish and other good foods.
It's quite a noisy place during lunch and the tables are a bit too close together. The portions are a bit small compared to the high prices.
Although I like Nico's, I like Uncle's more. Uncle's is a little pricier than Nico's, but it's less busy, and has a calmer ambiance. Don't let the fact that it isn't as busy as Nico's fool you, food here is every bit as good!
My go-to dish is the fish and chips. Depending on what they have on hand the fish they use varies. I've had monchong and salmon before and they were excellent, but mahi is the best! They use panko breading and it's light and crispy. Fries are consistently cooked and seasoned well. It comes with coleslaw and tartar sauce on the side.
Service is always top notch as well!
Very good service and quick too. Staff makes sure you have all you need.great place for a variety of food other than fish!
Really yummy food, our first time there. A bit pricey but all fresh. I really like the garlic ahi, hubby got that. And I got the shrimp scampi. The shrimp was huge! So ono!
The fish is fresh and oysters were good. Felt the preparation of the fish needed some bolder flavors. The monchong was lacking in flavor. Service was great though.
Came here for dinner and definitely got what we were looking for! The place itself and decorations is pretty awesome especially if your a fishermen! Very nicely decorated, we got the catch up the day (I forgot the fish name) that was delicious! And also got the poke trio, thought it was a smaller place when ordering and boy was I wrong (picture does seem like a lot but it really is! 3 VERY good portions of the most amazing poke I have ever had! I have eaten a lot of diffident poke and this place is by far the freshest/best tasting I’ve had!
Truly an incredible dining experience. We had the combo sashimi and ahi belly. It was an unrivaled experience, and I am grateful we had the opportunity to finally go!
Great food! The service was spot on. Live acoustic guitar player sets the appropriate mood. We had a top notch experience! Our favorite restaurant so far on Oahu!
I absolutely love this place. Whenever I'm in the area for lunch I stop in. It's also my go to place when I need to take out of town visitors or have a business meeting.
The service is great, the fish is fresh and the specials are usually amazing.
I have been here on Christmas eve day. I can only using the bar talble because They have many of reservation. I had Ahi poke trio and shirimp pasta and seafood grill. The server was not asked to me that I can choose the rice or fries but she wasn’t ask me. She asked someone who seated next to me. The menu was same she explained to them they can chose one. I won’t suggest to anybody this restaurant. Nico’s pier 38 restaurant is the best one.
Food was very well prepared and full of flavor. From the appetizers to the main dishes. Any fish dish is going to be more than satisfying for a night out for dinner. The waitress and food runners were very professional and ensured we had a very nostalgic experience. Will return!
