A wonderful location focused on body surfers only, that provides challenge and amazing conditions to enjoy surfing with only your body and the ocean. Party attention to conditions and only go out when you are aware of your experience and ability to take care of yourself and those you are body surfing with. This is not a play area for those that don't understand or respect the ocean. If you'd like to die and put others at unnecessary risk and danger, this is the spot to do it. Otherwise, it's an amazing location to enjoy and respect the power of the ocean.

Nice beach park, grassy, nice view, lots of trash cans but lots of shady ppl walking around as well, including homeless and a stray cat feeder who was a woman in a white sports car! Contributing to the breeding of ferel cats makes it unwelcoming for ppl to enjoy the place! It was pretty disgusting because of the feces they left all over the place and possible fleas so thought it was not sanitary for my kiddos and left. Wouldn't dare bring my dogs there!

Gorgeous, underrated spot for taking in the unobstructed ocean views, view of Diamond Head, fresh air, and watching surfers and boats coming and going. There’s a lot of space so even when it’s busy, it’s not crowded. You’ll catch musicians, dancers, etc.practicing or playing here. It’s a great place to hang out. It’s also good entertainment.

Just as a safety thing, if you’re a mama with kids or female…always make sure there are other people around and that you’re not just out here walking solo. You never know these days. Also a note for photographers with all the valuable equipment—same thing. Be careful. I wouldn’t want to be out here alone with any of my camera gear, unfortunately.

There’s also a staircase leading down to the ocean for people to go for a swim or snorkeling. It’s located west of the eastern most parking lot. Looked like good fun.

A terrific night for a leisurely walk. Watched a Viking Cruise ship leaving port, sailing into the sunset

Gorgeous sights. Stopped here during our segway tour. You can walk/run here and see diamond head + the coast of the island. Great place for pics

A pleasant surprise finding this place while zigzagging thru the streets near the pier. Pleasant place to walk and see the sunset. A little dirty and sketchy-looking, but nothing scary and lots of joggers, families and locals walking about the pathway along the water.

It's a GREAT place to go and see body surfers when the waves are BIG! Parking is limited though.

Here you can see both Pearl Harbor side and Diamond head side. A great place for barbecue / BBQ without too congested.

Love shore diving here. Certainly best dove with experienced leads who know how to find all the good spots underwater. The stairs down to thw water can be slippery I've found it best to time your entrance with a good sized wave, and fall into the waves as opposed to fighting them

Gorgeous views of the sunset and a low key spot good for body boarding/surfing. Summertime when the waves are big on the south shore you can catch lots of surfers. Gets busy sometimes during the day with runners and people in the park, there are a few tables and areas to sit overlooking the water

This is a nice place to get away and chill. It can get kinda busy at times with runners and folks coming around to take photos but there plenty of space to hangout and just take it all in. There are some cool stairs to climb down into the water. All around, this is a great place to enjoy some views.

This spot is a beautiful hangout for locals. Sometimes you get the opportunity to watch the Tahitian and hula dancers practice and sometimes you see a dozen or so surfers hit perfect waves. It's always beautiful here.

This December evening there were no body surfers and the waves were absent. A parking lot is not far from where I am standing. A friend from California likes this body surfing spot. This same friend competes in body surfing meets held in southern California. So his liking this spot is some indication of its worth to body surfers. It is not close to shops.

Watching a sunset here ee find as sense of peacefulness, tranquility from the city traffic noises and auto traffic moving about.

Good view of Diamond Head and ocean. Plenty of feral cats which a few old ladies feed, contributes to a worsening situation for native wildlife and sanitation.

Offers a very pretty view on Waikiki and the surfers. You can also observe body surfers nearby too. There are showers close also.

There are many homeless people hanging around so be careful of your belongings. Otherwise, you can also bring snacks and listen to the wave as you relax.

Was almost on island 2 years before I came across this part of Kakaako waterfront park, and it's my favorite place to catch sunset, enjoy some waves, family friendly environment. Chee-hooo!
