Rising Sun Maui, Kahului HI

It was our families first time getting solar, and the team from Rising sun Maui was AMAZING. Our project manager was Henry McNamara and he was so helpful from the beginning to after the install. He was our go to guy to get everything done and all the small details in place. I would definitely go with them for future projects. 5 out of 5.

Wasn’t sure if they’d be able to complete the solar PV/battery install during the current tax year due to supply chain and labor issues but they pulled it off. Great crews and great communication throughout project. Very happy customer.

Rising Sun installed a Power Wall battery to our existing PV system. It is pretty high tech, not just an appliance, but works amazingly well here on Maui with our fragile power grid that goes out with every storm. There were some challenges with our older PV system and the battery but they worked through those and it works great. Easy to work with company and good crew.

Best decision we made was installing solar panels and a Tesla powerwall! Mitch and the team at Rising Sun were thorough, friendly and very considerate throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!

System for 2 homes within 4 years i am giving them an A+ for the perfectness and performing task of completing the job on time.

They were great in the beginning when it came to installing and getting our money, but when things stopped working a few years later and needed replacement (covered under warranty), they were slackers.

Very professional group - worked on getting all permits in place and gave good advice on system design throughout. Major savings on our monthly electric bill - from $475 to less than $30 even with the air conditioning. The two Tesla power walls are also a great insulation from power outages.

Rising Sun was recommended to us, and I'm happy to report that it was an excellent recommendation. They walked us through the entire process and handled everything, right down to color matching our exterior paint and paining the pipe run to the batteries to match our house perfectly. They made this as painless a process as possible. We got solar panels and 2 Tesla batteries. They stay in communication regularly, respond to questions quickly, and all of the staff were incredibly friendly! I cannot recommend highly enough!

Rising Sun has done it again! They are a shining example of what a great company and business can become on Maui. Through the hardest of times, they have kept going strong, and made an amazing solar installation on the farmhouse where we provide autism services and agricultural work opportunities to the community. Now when the power goes out, we can keep the lights on for our clients with autism.

The application process, installation and service have all been excellent. The only thing I would recommend is to make a change to your Service Department. When a call comes in regarding a service issue someone should respond back within 4 hours not the 48 hours as it is today. And that includes weekends and holidays. The last time I had a service question I contacted Matt Fox. Although it was not his job, he contacted us and told us what the problem was. I this case it was a HECO issue. Matt was able to put our minds to ease and sure enough the problem worked itself out just like Matt told us it would. That is good customer support.

Jeremy and Rising Sun provided excellent service. We installed solar panels and Tesla powerwalls. Since the install, our $300 a month bill is now ZERO! Jeremy continues to make himself available to answer questions about our system and makes educated suggestions for energy efficient appliances as we update our home. We highly recommend their services!

The team took a lot of care with the roof installation (with a professional roofing crew), and with the interior layout in the garage to present a neat aesthetic appearance. The design of the system matched our demand loads and our monthly bills fluctuate in the range $30-120 so we did not pay for more panels or batteries than needed.

Our project started during the pandemic and was completed without difficulties. Matt Fox always kept us updated on the schedule and was always prompt at returning emails and phone calls. Very professional and patient with all my questions. I’ve reached out several times with continued questions after the project was complete, he always contacted me or emailed if there would be a delay in getting back to me. I can’t say enough good things about Rising Sun Solar and our project manager, Matt Fox. He’s a keeper and represents the company 100%.
