Royal Palace Restaurant reviews
16 Long review but worth the read!
This was our first time dining in and I am just going to take a moment to explain how underrated this place is! We like to really go all out and try several menu items at a new place. Our family of 5 ordered chicken wings, sesame balls, crab wonton, hot and sour soup, shrimp wonton soup, salt and pepper tofu, lemon chicken, general tso chicken, and Mongolian beef! It was a FEAST! We have so many left overs and we are so thrilled to get to enjoy these items again! The sweet woman working was absolutely amazing and attentive! She was funny and interacted with our children regularly which they love and we value! The restaurant was quiet and very clean. We can't wait to go back! Delicious, fresh, fun, and very affordable! Go check it out! I hear the have a lunch buffet too!
I really loved the food it came like in 10 minutes and was fast. The food was delicious and the waiters were really kind. I recommend this restaurant.
Worst experience. The place opened at 10: 30, we walked through the door at around 11ish, and the buffet wasn’t ready. Food was tasteless and not warmed enough. We ate the buffet and order a won ton soup that tasted nasty. Not a lot of variety to choose from. For myself, my mother, and a 5 yr old, our bill came up to $82.72. It’s a rip off. Wouldn’t go back and DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
Great place for Chinese food.
The staff are super friendly. Will definitely be going back when in the area again.
Ordered ahead of time for pickup. Arrived at my estimated pickup time and was still sitting waiting over 30 minutes later, so ordering ahead is effectively pointless as they didn't even start it until I arrived. This place wasn't busy, there were only a handful of called in orders and one person ahead of me ordered at the desk, so no reason for it
One chicken dish came with roughly hacked-in-half chicken legs still with bones in that makes it impossible to eat with chopsticks and challenging with a knife and fork due to how slippy the sauce is. If I hadn't known ahead of time what the sauce was supposed to be, I wouldn't have been able to guess because it tasted of something, but nothing specific. It was supposed to be crispy chicken, nothing about it was crispy.
The chow mein sauce might have been the same as the other sauce, they're the same color and same lack of obvious flavor; the noodles had a weird, soapy undertaste and a texture that is somehow crunchy and soft at the same time. Honestly I didn't know it was possible to make noodles badly up until this point. Their version of "special" chow mein means 2 jumbo shrimp, 2 slices small of char siu pork, and 3 small slices of some indiscernible grey meat. They were very generous with the vegetables, of which there was a solid variety and quantity, though woefully overcooked into mush.
We also got chicken fried rice and there was maybe a tablespoon of chicken in the entire dish, if that. It was also very wet, with no color, texture or flavor to indicate being fried. This points to the rice being freshly cooked, not saved rice as it it supposed to be in order for it to dry out for frying.
The steamed buns were actually good but they're essentially bread and very difficult to get wrong.
We could have had better flavor and texture at Panda Express and actually had the order be ready on time. With how long we had to wait past my given pickup time, I was expecting much, much better that this. Overall, really disappointed and won't be returning.
I literally couldn’t find a positive thing to say about this place. Food was terrible and place was dirty.
Not sure why this is at 3/5 stars. I ordered fried rice, salt and pepper pork. They got the cooking very consistent compared to other Chinese restaurants from the mainland. Great serving size for one person at a modest price point. The wait time may be long but in a post covid environment, of course staff is going to be undermanned for a local store. Definitely coming back for the pepper calamari for sure.
Came here back in 2012, service was horrible, waited nearly 2 hours for our food to come, only for the food to be cold AND not even what we ordered. My pregnant sister was getting back lash when she asked them to remove the incense they had at the time and they said no. They threw the menu’s on our table which raised the first red flag. Mind you, we did have around 10 people so I understand their frustration but they could have handle that better than treating us like trash. The food was gross not gonna lie and I’d never eat there again. Not worth $249. Save your money.
I don’t know why they have a green pass, it’s more like they should have a brown pass to match the doodoo hygiene they have there. If you really want to save your money, just eat at Panda’s Express.
This place was lit. The food looked like actual good food. Had a great mood. No one was rude. And the dishes were huge. 5/5 recommend
OMG I LOVE BOSICO. HE IS THE GUY SITTING DOWN AND PLAYING GAMES. HE IS SO HOT I GO THERE EVERYDAY JUST TO LOOK AT HIM. HEHE ️️️? IF ANYONE KNOWS HIS NAME PLEASE TELL ME
Dinner buffet food was mediocre and cold.
Food was tasteless. Save yourself the trouble and go to Stadium Camelia Restaraunt.
45 min wait and $60 of to go food for the family. Just threw it all in the trash. Was seriously that bad. Kids are not picky and no one could finish their food. Should have trusted the negative reviews. Please don’t waste your time or money. Ordered Egg drop soup, General Joes, orange chicken, vegetable fried rice.
Service is good, food is amazing, Love this place! Try this place if your intrested in Chinese food
The price for a Chicken Vegetable Stir fry is Not Worth it. I ask for No Chicken but more Vegetables. I called and they told Me the Cook was Informed and side less amount because of the price of the Vegetables is expensive. It was Not Worth for the food and prices. It was even busy. Other Chinese restaurant give more and the price is the same. Won't go there again!
**AVOID THIS PLACE** Placed an order through Grubhub and waited for an hour in front of the restaurant. After getting an email that our order was ready, we went in and after waiting for a bit, we were told that they are no longer affiliated with Grubhub and that we'd have to pay for the food separately. After dealing with getting refunded through Grubhub we went back in to pay and were told that the food was never actually made even though they did tell us that they had still received the order from Grubhub and would have to wait again. **** NO! After an hour and a half we are not going to wait another hour!
To make this worse, the person at the register said she couldn't reach Grubhub by phone but the person at Grubhub who refunded the order confirmed actually talking with them. This place is a shady waste of money and time.
I loved my visit and they were very nice to me and my family we were there for a birthday and again they were absolutely nice and great the restaurant is very nice and a big place to sit and more
