First timer for my family of 6 we went in here for dinner and the two RUDE waitress keeps stirred as us, keeps asked if we done with the creepy looks made us uncomfortable while eating. Unfortunately we decided to not return here to eat again!
We always enjoy the food here but the service seems to be going downhill. There are two women servers that we've had the past 3 times dining here and they both delivered a rude and rushed experience (all 3 times)
I understand that it can be frustrating to have to sweep up after a child's mess but being rude and offensive is no excuse.
We expressed our apologies multiple times, cleaned up their mess as best we could - but the rude sounds, facial expressions and "no comments" were enough!
Unfortunately this time was the last straw!
Where ever we travel to, we're always searching for an eatery to dine in no matter the time, and have been very pleased with Sadie's. We didn't have to wait for a table. The food was delicious and tasty. The table staff was very polite and attentive. The market prices for foods and the limited amounts available have forced price increases which we gladly paid.
We are from Kaneohe and do enjoy our drive over to Pearl City to do shopping and of course our stop at Sadie's. We wish Sadie's a happy holidays & a prosperous "Bunny" year.
Found this great place next to Ben Franklin’s. They only had take out during the time we were there. Got the Bi Bim Bap Kook So. Everyone was so friendly and the food was good! Will be back during dine in hours!
. Sadie's never fails when it comes to Korean food!
. We were able to sit right away.we got the last table available for 4 people - the place was packed!
. The Service was fast.order taken and not a long wait to get our food.
. I ordered the Bi Bim Bap Dol Set.very delicious.and was able to get the rice to harden a bit on the hot stone bowl.
. Had Fried Mandoo. Meat Jun. Spicy Pork - which came on a sizzling platter. EVERYTHING was the bomb!
. Definitely will return again when I'm craving Korean food!
The food here is Great! I recommend their kimchi pancake here, great as a starter to share on the table. Their banchan here is great as well. Service could be improved but its pretty good for a small local restaurant. The BBQ chicken and meat jun are always great choices here! Better for smaller parties of about 4 people. If there is a wait, you can always visit the other local stores around the area as well.
Great eats, great service, good price point, , we'll be going back. Son and I stopped in to try it out. The food was very good, I had the Spicy Pork and The Boy tried the special of the day Black Bean noodles. Both were delicious, the pork was spicy but not too spicy (didn't sweat but felt my pores opening lol), , the black bean sauce was spot on earthy and rich and the noodles were cooked perfectly with that chewable texture (if you know, you know). Of course the bonchon was on point as well (I'd expect nothing less from a Korean joint) The portions were good as well, more than I expected and aallllmost enough for a small togo box but not quite, a couple more bites did the trick instead lol. The staff was super friendly and professional and it seemed like a local eats kinda spot. We'd tried on Sunday before only to find a note on the door saying that Sundays they were closed.this should be added to online schedule for customer convenience.
Deliciously seasoned banchan, especially the kimchi. The portions were generous and meat jun was excellent. Service was good except at the end when the waitress tried to rush us out, we weren't lingering unnecessarily or considered slow eaters. There wasn't a long line outside, so I'm not sure why she kept asking if we were finished, like hinting to get out. It was at the end of our visit so not that much of a big deal.
Ordered Sadie Special 27.00 meats burned like black, Korean style butterfish 28.00- outside no flavor inside fish 0- flavor, so happen red color sauce, way to sweet like corn syrup & Korean seafood pancake 18.00 massive batter on both sides, very oily & very little seafood inside which left half uneaten! Horicha tea should be served hot, came totally cold. Notified server, gave me puzzled look & she blamed on last workers didn't plug outlet. I also told her about bad seafood pancake & butterfish, she said she isn't the owner & will notify. Next table their mandoo came uncooked & they had to send back for crispness! There were only 2 tables with us Included, but 4 different takeout walk-in customer orders seem more important since my order came later than my husbands.
Called owner & he said he was the son of the owner & they make food for local taste (sweet) not for Korean taste! Why then they pass off as Korean restaurant? Local people like good tasty food, not just sweet taste as per owner implied. No satisfaction from staff in the restaurant, Called to complain & he said I was ranting when actually was complaining- next step, POST terrible review! Infact the owner stated staffing shortage & new servers like we need to hear more excuses! See Joshua Wallin 6 month ago post, that's what Seafood or green onion pancake should look like, not mine! To bad I didn't take photo's as evidence!
Sadie’s combination was great. Meats had amazing flavor and charred perfectly. Wife asked for another helping of spicy pickles.
We absolutely loved everything here! The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. I was a bit surprised at the prices, but wound up feeling like everything was super reasonable for what we got. You actually get very generous portions with everything, plus a big spread of neverending veggies with the BBQ. The pork was fantastic: sweet, fatty, and mild-moderately spicy. My friend got the seafood pancake and even though I don't really like seafood, I thought it was quite good. It is BIG!
We'll definitely be coming back!
My daughter's and my favorite Korean food stop in Pearl City. Their bibimbap is DA BOMB!
Great surprise! Everything was delicious but the bibimbap was the best I’ve had on the island.
The staff was courteous and friendly. We were also served complimentary appetizers which were very delicious.
Will definitely come back for my bibimbap fix.
Loved the spicy Korean fried chicken! Great customer service and the food came out pretty quick. I definitely will be back again!
