10 So this will be lengthy so TLDR: the staff here today was amazing and so helpful! Thankful for them all. Now onto the story.
I got word that I needed a cake with specific words on it, and party platters for a large group within 24 hours. I called this Safeway and both the lady at the bakery and the deli were just so understanding and helpful. They helped me get everything ordered that I needed! Fast forward to today when picking up said food, the servers went down at the store. Thankfully I had extra time, but they went out of their way to ensure I was able to get my things and get out after dealing with customers upset with them for something they couldn't control. Kudos to them for being so calm and understanding and explaining that to customers. Then the food. The pinwheels I ordered-delightful in every way. The large fruit platter- Delicious fresh, juicy, fruit with everything peeled and ready to go. And lastly the cake- I'm always skeptical about grocery store cakes but this one. This was so good. I asked for help when ordering so can't take all the credit, but they made a red velvet half sheet cake with fresh (I mean freshly sliced) strawberries and cream cheese frosting in the middle with cream cheese icing and decorated it beautifully! ALL of this happened within 25 hours.
Needless to say these ladies and gents were wonderful and such a help and the food was so good. I know where I'll be going for catering.
Kinda small and old looking, hard to find items like chips in the water aisle, items not available but are in stock on the app, and not replacing the missing handheld scanners at self check out.
Finally found the DaKine pineapple syrup.went Safeway hopping got 5 bottles and now they are all out of stock
As a previous employee of Safeway I would not recommend working for this company. They will post a schedule and then change the schedule on you over night without communication. As you are having a conversation with the manager she hangs up on you. They are inconsiderate of the hours you are available.
Went for Mother's Day flowers and a card. Unbelievable selection! Been there for flowers twice in 4 months. Definitely will go again!
Ppl are nice there, but sometimes vegetables and fruits are damaged. I loved how quickly they started selling plant based products such as oatmilk, just egg, vegan cheese and more. I also like the selections of konbucha. Price is I think a bit more expensive than other super markets. But they often have sales and members special prices so that's good. I love how quickly staffs help us when we need help at the check-out. Also vinegar chickens at warm section are my most favorite fried chicken
Georgina (Georgie?) in Produce is nasty, boi. Crusty old vegetable goblin. Wish I could give zero.
Safeway is my favorite grocery store
. It is spacious & has great customer service!
My only gripe is that they don't have great gluten free options. Very solid grocery store, though.
Good place, good business fresh new Ahi every day but everything needs improvement so no 5 star
