My favorite is Hawaiian Munchies. I have lived in Waikiki for 6 months. This is definitely the best poke in Waikiki. Honestly I don't think I had a better Poke anywhere in Oahu.

Sato is legit! We were very impressed with their food and ate there two times during our recent stay nearby.

The Hawaiian Munchies Poke was different for us than the other Poke bowls we've tried, but in a good way. Can also order in English or Japanese as most of the staff speak both languages.

Our first meal in Hawaii was at Sato's and it was amazing. I had the Macadamia Aburi Salmon bowl and my wife had the Kaisen Chirashi Bowl. Both bowls were amazing but the Macadamia bowl is a definitely must have. Great customer service but wish there was a little more outdoor seating.

We ordered the spicy ahi hand roll, lomi lomi hand roll, wabi sabi wasabi poke bowl, and Hawaiian crunch poke bowl. All four were fresh with a strong, special flavor that shines through.

The spicy mayo on the spicy ahi roll added fattiness to the lean tuna in a delicious way. The wabi sabi wasabi poke had just enough wasabi to give a good kick without being overwhelming.

We were very glad to have discovered this spot while trying to avoid the lines at Paia Fish Market and Marugame Udon, both next door.

There is very little seating though, at least when we went. Seating was also outdoors. FYI for those looking for more sit-down options.

Move over Marugame. A new player is in town, and it’s right next door!

I randomly stumbled upon this place and now after coming here nearly 10 times, I can say this is probably one of the most underrated places I’ve ever been to in Waikiki. Each time I come, I try something new, and each time loving it more and more. It is a twisted sense of happiness - I am happy there is no line whenever I come, but at the same time, they deserve lines as long as Marugame. This poke spot is a mom and pop and also appears in the farmers markets on the island.

Poke comes down to fish, flavor, and rice. Fish - fresh as ever, never having any stringy bits that often come with poke that isn’t cut as well. Flavor is dynamic with unique options. And the rice (sushi rice) is on point with the perfect texture.

My personal favorite is actually their Yuzu handroll. The flavor is mild and not too salty (some folks may want soy sauce), but the subtle flavors allow the yuzu to shine through with the ahi. Oh, so good. Writing this review makes me want to have another handroll!

I hope this place picks up with the amount of business they deserve and I’ll definitely be back soon. It’s my new favorite spot in Waikiki.

Great take-out place! You might miss it due to the line up of the Udon place beside it… I will go for poke tem time before going for Udon. And they are fast!
The torched salmon poke with macadamia nuts is definitely the best poke I had in Waikiki. Highly recommend it during you stay here.

The spicy ahi hand roll might’ve been the best thing I ate during my 2 weeks in Hawaii! Perfect spicy mayo with fresh fish and super crispy nori! Absolutely delicious.

This place is great. Was staying nearby for two weeks and had to come back 4 total times to try different bowls.

Hands down our favorite Poke in Waikiki! The fish quality is AMAZING! It’s like butter melting in your mouth. I love the Hawaiian Munchies and the Macadamia Aburi Salmon bowl. The staff is super friendly and it’s not super busy. Highly recommend you to try!

If I could give more than 5 stars Sato Seafood would get it. Tried other "top" poke spots, although good, NONE of them come close to Sato. In a small unassuming spot next to the insanely busy Udon spot (which we'd tell people to get out of that line and get some Sato Poke) you'll find the freshest, most perfect Ahi, and Salmon Poke bowls. Hawaiian Munchies, Shoyu, Macadamia all done to perfection. The sauces add to the magic of the fish. It will all melt in your mouth I promise. Also do not skip the hand rolls. That same fresh fish as well as mushrooms and other great foods. The rolls have the most perfect snap and they use the same insanely incredible sushi rice as they do for the poke bowls. Now there's no room to dine in but that's quite alright as there are two chairs right outside and a small table. A really great place to people watch (or convince someone to get out of that long Udon line.) The staff is also as friendly as can be and treat you like ohana. I could go on and on but I'm not going to just trust me. Get off the plane, check in, and head straight to Sato Seafood you won't be disappointed.

Conveniently located, Sato Seafood offers good quality poke without having to venture far from the central Waikiki area. If you don't want to line up for Marukame Udon, this is a great alternative. The fish was flavoured well and was very fresh. We like the shoyu the best. They also offer a great selection of hand rolls which the kids enjoyed.

Second experience:
While ordering, I saw a pigeon taking a stroll in the kitchen, where open containers of raw fish laid. Birds are very serious contaminants in kitchens because they carry diseases. I told the staff about it, they told me casually "we get visitors some times". Needless to say I am not going there again.
.
Very happy with my poke experience. I will visit again.
