SCP Hilo Hotel

Great place to stay, when visiting Hilo. Close to the airport, close to the many coastal parks, bus 101 between city centre, parks, airport is passing by every hour. Wonderful friendly “community style “ atmosphere! Great open lobby, music, free coffee, tea, water throughout the day/night. The rooms are a bit basic (modernized was the lobby), but comfy! And if you have bay front rooms, the morning views are priceless! Loved the free paddle boards, free bikes (normal not e-bikes). Price was also great.

Fantastic service - we took advantage of storing our luggage and using gym bathroom as early check in was $45.
We only stayed one night after our trip up Mauna Kea for sunset/stargazing with Arnott's Tour - so we did not get to take advantage of any amenities associated with the mandatory Resort Fee. The room was very basic/sparse - our room category was changed as getting our luggage at 10 p.m. To our king room would have been very far + many stairs, so we agreed to the double queen closer to the lobby.it was clean and serviceable.perhaps I was expecting more given the $.
there is a good cold water dispenser in the lobby which was helpful before heading to the airport.

When I dream about Hawaii this is the place I dream about. Immaculate setting with courteous service. I will be back

The hotel is fine so far. Unfortunately, the rooms can't quite keep up and are very loud. Unfortunately, the location next to the airport doesn't make it any better. (Airplane noise) Service was very nice.

Great value for the price we paid.nice lobby with water dispenser and hot coffee, tea. Complimentary bikes if you want to roam around (recommended) Hotel is close to everything. Walking distance to Reeds Beach and Coconut Island. Room wa spacious and cozy with AC, fan. They had a pack and play bassinet ready for our baby, a plus for accommodation. Pool was clean and had a relaxing vibe. No problems with parking. The only thing was we have two small kids so it would have been nice to get a room without needing to use the stairs. We didn’t see that there was an elevator. We had to carry the stroller up the steps. We’d consider staying here again. We had a wonderful stay.

Deceptive hotel, the photos you see are taken by someone professional and once you arrive you are a bit shocked by the room and the structure in general. Very nice lobby and seating area too but otherwise very shabby. However, the room was cleaned daily with towels changed.
Good location but not quiet, there is noise all night under the hotel with people on the street, luckily our stay was short.
I honestly don't recommend it to stay in Hilo at these prices you can find much else.

Unfortunately, the rooms are very loud and noisy. And not just because of its location in the airport's approach path.

Perfect location, not bad service but for this price could be better.our room was not ready at 3 p.m. (as was promised). But at 5 p.m. Sooo its not ok for hotel. But anyway.free coffee, tee, water, some life music at night time at lobby. Not bad place. Rooms was clean. Noise protection is poor

The location is right across the street from a small bay. Easy access to the ocean. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Stayed in a peaceful room. It had been renovated and was nice. Smaller than the pictures make the room look, but that's the purpose of the pictures. The building has several different wings and is set up like a grouping of motels. Would stay again in a heartbeat

Beautiful pool and communal areas. The free yoga class was excellent. Great location near Hilo eateries and airport.

Really a pleasant place to stay, right on an inlet. The local kids hang out across the street and spend the day jumping into the water!

We had great stay for 2 nights! The location is excellent, free parking is available, the environment is beautiful, the rooms are clean and bright – it's a fantastic choice in Hawaii island!

Best place to stay if u want to visit Hilo. Staff if very kind. Rooms are neat and clean every day. Bike and paddle board free as well as complimentary coffee. A nice boutique hotel to chill in front of the swimming pool.
