Really, really poor costumer service. We had some problems with our reservation and it took two days and hours to figure out. The staff at the resort could not have cared less about our honeymoon. Don’t stay here if you can help it. There are much nicer places and much nicer staff on the island.

Very sweet staff overall. Fast and welcoming service at the restaurant. Amazing pool and hot tub. Nice boardwalk. Convenient water fountain next to the entrance which helps reduce the plastic madness.

Absolutely perfect resort hotel in every way. Nice, spacious rooms, very friendly personnel, beautiful pool area, right on the beach. Delicious, reasonably priced meals. Hotel only 15 minutes from the airport, within walking distance of shopping centers. Bikes also available to ride up and down the coast for swimmable beaches.

Overall an ok experience with good food and nice view of the beach. But the TV has been down for six days now. The first day someone told me the Internet has issues so all TV are down for the entire hotel. Three days later I called again and was told the Internet issue had not been resolved. I was a bit surprised that the TV for entire hotel could be down for three days. On day five, I went to front desk and was told a technician would come and check my TV and it was clear there wasn’t any hotel wide TV issue. So I wonder if the front desk just made up an excuse to avoid fixing my TV which so far has been down for five days. Given the heavy rain on Kauai, this does affected our experience a lot.

Update: a technician came and fixed the TV by unplugging and replugging the fiber wire. So obviously this isn’t some widespread internet issue. So now I’m a bit confused why the person told me on the first day and then three days later that the issue was due to some Internet issue and refused to send a technician earlier. So now we know the issue could have been fixed in five minutes while we stayed here for five nights without TV and this was during Dec 29 to Jan 3 spanning the new year.

The free shaved ice and bike rentals are nice.

This is a very nice resort with an absolutely fantastic staff. Especially Virgi, who checked us in. We had flight problems and were delayed overnight, but Virgi and her manager were so good, they were able to straighten it out and get us into lovely rooms.

Very friendly staff who did everything possible to make our stay perfect. Grounds and facilities were clean and well maintained. Food and beverages are equal to the hotel as very well done. The breakfast menu is varied with traditional and local foods.

For what it is and the price we pay, I am a bit disappointed. Many of the restaurants are closed. They had the wrong kind of room for us. Our keys expired the very next day, even though we are here all week.

On the positive side, the pool, hot tub, and best are amazing! The staff is very kind and friendly, if not exactly the most competent. Hopefully, the problems are pandemic related and will improve in the near future.

Check your credit card statement after you leave!

I was very disappointed to see the hotel charged me more money than was listed on my reservation confirmation. They never emailed me a copy of my bill after the stay or notified me the price increased. When I called the hotel to find out why the difference I got the run around and was told to speak to a manager.who was never available and never called me back. Very unprofessional in my opinion! When I finally called Marriot corporate and they coerced a response out the manager, he told me it was because of taxes. Pretty sad they wouldn't just admit their mistake and refund the 13 dollars they over charged me on a single night stay that already cost $525!

Would never go back to this hotel, dishonest and unprofessional management. Check your bill afterward if you do stay!

I WANT TO ADD BASED ON OWNERS RESPONSE, I BOOKED THE STAY DIRECTLY THROUGH MARRIOT, NOT A THIRD PARTY. I EVEN STAYED AT ANOTHER MARRIOT RESORT ON THE SAME ISLAND DURING THE TRIP AND THEIR CONFIRMATION PRICE EXACTLY MATCHED THE PRICE THEY BILLED ME.

Booked this place for christmas and am extremely disappointed with the service and the organization for the price that we paid for this.called ahead of time for early check in, said it was confirmed, then when we were checking in (and waited 20 minutes before the person at the front even acknowledged us despite there not being anyone else around), was told that our room wasn’t ready and they would call us when it was.they then proceeded to charge us the whole amount of $4300, and had us wait four hours to check in.it’s now an hour past the 4pm check in time, I’ve never gotten a phone call, I show up to the front desk to then be told they can’t find my reservation and nobody has any idea what is going on. I have email confirmations and welcome emails from the concierge, but their response is that “well the front desk and concierge are separate”. Spare me the details when you can’t seem to figure out for your own systems.oh, and merry christmas.thanks for the customer service and hospitality.

This resort is beautiful and well kept. We ate the restaurants and used most facilities. Staff are friendly and service was good.

This very expensive hotel was a huge disappointment. First the room. While this place bills itself as a beach resort, there is in fact a whole block of rooms (including ours) that look onto a vacant lot. Worse, there was a construction site outside our balcony with heavy equipment operating. Usually you at least get a warning to expect a little noise. Yes, we could have shut our door. The problem was our air conditioning unit worked only intermittently. We told the front desk and they claimed they fixed it. Not so. So we were forced to leave our door open, exposing ourselves to construction noise in the day and the constant crowing of roosters through the night. We also had no luck getting our pillows switched from feather to foam to deal with an allergy issue. This hotel is more like a Super 8 or Motel 6. It collects your money, sends you to a far-off room and hopes to never hear from you again. The staff were friendly but scarce and inefficient. The hotel's best feature is its beautiful pool area. Good thing, because the beach here is full of coral and too rough to swim in. Anyway, given this place charges at least $500 a night, plus a $42 daily "resort" fee, you will likely feel cheated when you see what it has to offer. We sure did.

We had a wonderful time at the Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach. The property was right on the beach, perfect location to see different parts of the island and the pool/jacuzzi was awesome. There’s a great happy hour every day from 3-6pm at the pool bar/restaurant.

What really made our stay incredible were some of the staff. Vaughn, the manager, was particularly wonderful. He was constantly around the property checking in on people, helping out colleagues, going above & beyond to make our stay perfect.

Even though we had a few days of rain during our visit, we left with smiles. Would definitely stay there again.

Recently renovated and still in pretty good shape. Staff friendly. Pool bar with good lunch choices. Several excellent restaurants nearby. Did not dine here but it does have a restaurant.

3 1/2 *'s.
Pleasant stay for a day or two, nice rooms.extremely small balconys. Outdoor seating close to the pools are gas fire pits at night.
Great pools with the beach a few steps away, lounge chairs and hammocks on the beach.
Crooked Surf bar is close by pool and beach. Shopping and other places to eat are very close by.
Airport is 6-7 miles away.
The resort fee ($30-35) a day provides bikes for the day, along with other things for the beach and more.

This hotel yes hotel not resort is possibly the biggest rip off on this island. First I book and pay, completely pay up front, for the room. The next morning to my surprise the only coffee available downstairs is for purchase, 5 or 6 dollars for coffee? Pretty sad I asked the front desk and was told the covid hit them hard.really, didn't a pile of tax dollars get given to this industry? Oh but Marriott didn't get any? Really. Then I get home to find out they charged my card again, I call and am told that this is policy and I should see my money in a week or so
