Shrimp Shack, Hauula HI

Good food.it came highly recommended. Has been on Food Network and other food show channels. It's located right on the highway next to Chings Grocery. Has a few tables available to eat at, or you can go across highway and eat on the beach.

This place is a must eat if your Hawaii. These gals work their tails off and put out an amazingly awesome best-tasting ahi shrimp popcorn shrimp butterfly shrimp but you can have in any top five star restaurants. I could cline this place and take it home

Very friendly and excellent service. I like that they have tables to eat across the street by the water. I had the shrimp and steak with the mussels platter on the side. Very pleased.
Definitely recommend the Shrimp Shack.

Hands down the best meal I have had here so far. The steak and coconut shrimp plate is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Plus the folks working the truck are friendly as could be. Do not pass this up!

If you see this yellow shack on wheels do not hesitate to stop! It was hands down our favorite spot to dine in right on the beach literally! Across from the shrimp shack there’s shrimp shack dinning area where you can enjoy their delicious tasting shrimp! Try the Coconut Shrimp with Mango sauce and a Beer in hand you can pickup next door and as long you have it in a brown paper bag. Also the spicy garlic you gotta try it! Loved their dinning area across the street. Dinning area has maybe 3 tables but simply wait for someone to be dismissed or just eat right on the sandy beach under the palm trees! The staff was great and super cool so shoutout to them!

Delicious mussels, amazing shrimps and dinning tables right on the Ocean, that was a hidden gem at that visit, very kind waiter.
That food is on next level, if you are visiting Honolulu it’s must visit place!

The only good thing about it is being across from the ocean. Look at the lowest reviews and you’ll see some from 5 years ago mentioning they don’t devein it and that’s still true. I bit into one and all of the intestinal tract came out. I was so sick after and for the next 24 hours. When ordering I asked where the shrimp was from and the woman was very patronizing and said it’s farm raised but wouldn’t tell me from where and then asked me my name and where the shrimp is from where I live. Don’t trust this place AT ALL.stay away!

This used to be my favorite shrimp truck on island. I made my family drive up with me on Sunday after traveling from the mainland all day Saturday. We ordered 1 coconut shrimp, 1 garlic shrimp, and 1 surf and surf. It took longer than usual but I wasn’t upset given they seemed busy and a little overwhelmed. We finally got our food and received 1 coconut shrimp and 2 garlic shrimp. I walked back to the truck to say I had ordered the surf and surf but was missing the mahi. The lady rudely responded that the mahi was not listed on my ticket. She was correct that it was not written down which meant that the order was taken incorrectly. Then I realized even though it was written down as 1 coconut shrimp and 2 garlic shrimp, I was charged for the coconut shrimp, garlic shrimp, and surf and surf (which is exactly what I ordered AND more expensive). But they were unwilling to admit or correct their mistake. And the food wasn’t even good for the first time. Sad and disappointing. It’s one thing to have the food off one time, but not acceptable to be rude or distrusting of your formerly loyal customers.

Omg! Delicious. Friendly food truck right on the side of the road. Seating available at the local store or right across the street right on the beach! Coconut Shrimp and Calamari are a must! Thank you

We found Shrimp Shack while driving along the east coast and stopped by to try it. Best decision we made! The spicy garlic shrimp were fresh and delicious! It was so relaxing sitting by the beach enjoying our food. The service was amazing as well. I’d go back to Oahu just to enjoy this and come back.

I really enjoyed the Surf & Surf (mahi with caramelized onions and garlic shrimp). Both were delicious but I would have enjoyed the shrimp more if the mud veins had been removed. It gave me pause. Otherwise, the ladies were lovely and the outdoor dining was pleasant.

Fast service. The coconut shrimp were good and the onion rings were spot on! The popcorn shrimp were just meh …

The food was amazing, but on the expensive side. The food portion wasn't good enough, but it was fresh and very tasty.

The shrimp here was delicious! We ordered the spicy garlic shrimp and coconut shrimp and they were both amazing! The hot garlic shrimp was our favorite-we ate every grain of rice afterwards because it had soaked up all the sauce. Highly recommend if you’re driving by

We literally just drove up on this place with no plan. Food was delicious. Service was great. And View was AMAZING!

A must stop in Hawaii! Shrimp is amazing and the rice with the garlic sauce was even better. Worth the hype.
