7Nice drive up to the monument. Very peaceful up here. Road is broken so drive slow otherwise safe drive. See pictures below for the view. 15 minutes stop
Not far. The plaque on monument was gone (vandalism) Entry point to private property ranch at location.
Peaceful place, great morning walk from kealia beach up to the monument and back. Not very many cars or possibly roller blade.
If you don't shotgun a beer by the monument, it will not be a rip off.
Since I share the same last name, but with a 'u', had to check it out. Very disappointed all the information is gone. Spoke with a local who was sitting next to his Harley smoking a joint and he said the information has been missing for over 15 years. I'll have to start a "Go Fund Me" effort to have it restored.

We biked here from the ocean on a really hot day - there is shade at the location but make sure you’re prepared for the heat on the way there if you aren’t driving!
