Bar Stage Restaurant reviews
15It was a word that the atmosphere was good, but it is an adult atmosphere that can be used for dates and parties. The food was also very sophisticated American creative cuisine and I was very satisfied. Desserts are award winning and not too sweet and very delicious. Cospa was also good and I was very satisfied.
Disappointed with the Island Catch.
Waaaaay to much white rice. I can get that anywhere. It’s not special and makes the dish seem like you gave it cheap fillers (unless it’s like a special, Japanese fine rice, but that wasn’t specified).
Not enough of the advertised vegetables like shiitake, tomatoes, onion, crispy garlic etc. The fish was dry and there was not enough sake butter.
The starter salad was skimpy in portion size and lacked sufficient dressing. Thank goodness I didn’t pay; I wouldn’t have spent more than $20.
Stage Restaurant, VERY unique location as it is embedded within the Inspirational Furniture store. The quality of the food is five stars, service is five stars and the atmosphere if I could give it ten stars, I would! Perfect place for a date or girls night out or even business meetings. They host events and can handle big parties, ensure to make reservations! The Artwork is fantastic and can be purchased.
The food was tasty, but we got sick after the meal. I had stomachache and my partner got diarrhea.
We booked the Valentine’s set menu a week ahead and I anticipated to sit at their artistic dining area before going. However, receptionist arranged us at the bar section outside the artistic area, which was quite disappointing. And it seemed like we were the only couple sit outside that area.
The servers were pretty good but it took quite long between dishes.
Decor was really cool. Music was all over the place. Food was decent, but nothing special. The menu wasn't cohesive, and there was no real effort by the staff to explain, or suggest pairings. The server was basically absent. Probably would have ordered at least another round of drinks, and desert if the waiter had been around. Took the waiter about twenty minutes to come back after dropping off the menus, and that trend countinued throughout the whole dinning experience. It felt like whoever created Stage went to one or two fancy restaurants one time, and that was the only research that was done before putting together the venue, menu, music and staff. I think it could be a good restaurant, they just need to tie everything together, and make sure their servers are properly trained. Also FYI, the tasting menu is only available on holidays, and the second Thursday of the month.
What a great place for date night! The food and drinks were amazing! Service was great! Ambiance was perfect for date night! Cant wait to tell my friends!
I absolutely had the best dinner gathering here to reunite with my okd coworkers to celebrate one of ours that just passed away. I loved this magical place, it's amazing food and the ambiance. The service was on point and I would come here again! Highly recommend!
Not kidding, every dish and drink we ordered was so delicious. Highly recommended! The only issue of the restaurant was a bit short of staffs.
While this restaurant is incredibly hard to locate (you need to enter through a parking garage and then go up an elevator), which sort of gives it a speakeasy vibe… the food is worth the complicated entrance and it feels like this is priced super fairly for locals even given a lovely menu and sustainable fare on offer.
Delicately presented meats and seafood with unique flavors adorn the menu and are cooked to perfection, meanwhile you can pair anything with a very well priced flight of wine that genuinely feels like you’re pulling a fast one on their bottom line.
This is technically a wine bar that serves food, not the other way around, mind you. Fascinating ceiling decor hangs above as you slide into a cozy booth or cute chair by the windows, which afford an odd view of a busy intersection. There’s something not unpleasantly urban about the entire experience, given you’re shielded from city smells and noise up in your little Stage bubble.
Don’t miss the squash appetizer, it’s healthy and mouth-pleasing. Unexpectedly sweet without any of the grit or starchy blandness you’d expect from the squash. Pasta here doesn’t reinvent the wheel but it’s solid too. Would return.
Tasty. Interesting, artistic design. Don’t skip the sides. The cauliflower with romesco was tasty. The butterfish was melt in your mouth delish. Mmm, Tres Leches cake is the perfect finish. Ask for Michael. He’s a great waiter. Very helpful.
Great fusion food away from high tourist traffic areas. Entrance is on the ground floor inside the parking garage.
Cute place. Wine area in the front next to the furniture section. Restaurant side is fun with the clouds and tiki looking chairs. The lighting is perfect, very easy on the eyes. The front host was very welcoming. Waiter service was impeccable as well as the food. Decent prices and I would highly recommend this place for date night. I would definitely come back many many times more. Enjoy!
Atmosphere is great, food was good.reason for 3 star is ordered medium rare slightly rare beef wellington, got a medium well no sear fillet, it was decently edible mostly due to the long 2 hours wait hungry. And yes i have never seen slower service in my life. Simply asking for check takes 10 min takes another 10 min to bring the check, another 15 min for server to comeback to pick up the check. Spent 2 hours and 30 min at the restaurant mostly hungry, Waiting for server.
I’ve never had a place take such excellent care of us. Everything was exceptional. I know our servers name was Elise and the chefs name was Aaron and I only know that because I went out of my way to ask to mention how outstanding they were to us in this review. Best place I’ve been in Honolulu
Went there for a birthday dinner and the experience was excepcional. Great food and service! 10/10 would recommend
